General Fund – supports conferences, website, newsletters, etc. Research Fund – GF offers research grants to professionals who apply for funds based on a specific project. GF’s research team (made of parents like you) read, discuss and recommend finalists. The fundraiser can choose how to use the $ raised based on these 2 categories. What Happens to the $ Donated to GF?

• General Fund – supports conferences, website, newsletters, etc.

5K Run/Walk FundraiserHow to make a profit

• SPONSORS AND DONATIONS!!!!!!!!!• Registration Fee• Make it professional to attract serious runners or more of a fun‐run.  Both are very successful

• Can keep costs low– Limit awards– Cheaper shirts– No timing

Golf Outing Fundraiser• Select a course.• Set a price.  (50% for golf, 50% for charity).  We did $100 per golfer.  Also price other golf outings in area before setting price.  

• Set a date.  (Friday afternoon outings draw the most golfers)

• Seek out corporate sponsors.  • Contact Friends, Family and anyone you know who owns a business.

Golf outing Fundraiser• Get a team of 5‐10 people to assist in the fundraising efforts.  

• If each person raises 5 prizes that is 25‐50 prizes.  • You will also need 10‐12 volunteers the day of the event.

Day of event• Sell Mulligans 2 for $10. • Have a raffle for prizes.  You can do a separate raffle for large prizes.  

• Golf contests: longest drive, closest to the pin, middle of fairway, and winning foursome.  

• Can also have auction.  • 50/50 drawing.  • Putting contest prior to start of golf.  $5 entry to win a driver or other club.

Start small and build from there………

• Our first year we had 80 golfers and made $13000.  

• In 2012 we had 152 golfers and netted $40000

• Reason #1 we fill it up every year is we make it a fun event.
