God stopping us from sinning against others = God preventing us from executing our choices

* “Lemony Snickets” meaning “Series of Unfortunate Events” Read Job Ch. 1, 2, and 42 to get the gist of what happened. Job was righteous but God allowed him to instantly lose his wealth, health, and family. (God restored them twice as much in the end.)

God never told us that bad things won’t happen to His people
Jesus even tells us that those who serve Him will be persecuted (John 15:20)

God did tell us, however, that if we accept Christ we can look forward to Heaven, a place where there will be no more pain or suffering (Rev. 21:4)

But while we’re on Earth we should… Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever
you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. …

Bad things will happen to you or your loved ones.
But know that if you’re a child of God, what the enemy means for evil God can turn for good (Gen. 50:20; Romans 8:28)

We don’t always know or like why God allows bad to happen to “good” people
But we can be assured that God has the best interest of his kids and Kingdom in mind
God will do what it takes to save His people and get His glory… including things we don’t understand

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)
