Why Choose a Chalet Over a Hotel?

Choosing a ski holiday can sometimes be a tricky task, one of the things you have to consider when booking a holiday is the type of accommodation you want.

Whilst choosing your accommodation there are certain things to think about such as:

How many people are in your party

What type of holiday you want

How close you want to be to all the 'going's on'.

Once you've decided on the type of holiday you want you should start thinking about accommodation.

Here are a few reasons why I think booking a Chalet is better than a hotel.

Location

If you're going to a ski destination purely for just skiing then you'll find that chalets will be right in the heart of it all, where you can even ski right outside the front door. Hotels tend to be in the town centre which is usually further away from the ski slopes and can be more expensive.

Service

Chalets often come with catering where you can choose which food you want from a menu and they will freshly prepare it in your chalet everyday.

Choice Of Room

With a hotel, rooms tend to be either single, double or family size. When looking for a ski chalet you'll find you can get chalets for between 4 and sometimes up to 20 people depending on where you choose to stay. This means that if you've got a big party you can all stay together.

More Time Together

As you all usually stay together in one big chalet it means that you get to spend more time together, whether you're with family or friends. Some chalets will have hot tubs and big open spaces so there's plenty of room for everyone to chat and catch up.

Experience Something Different

When most people go on holiday they tend to stay in hostels or hotels as they're very popular in tourist destinations. Staying in a ski chalet will be a different experience to what you're used to and it will definitely be a positive one.

Ski Packages And Offers

The hotels will offer ski packages but as the chalets tend to be right on the doorstep they usually offer the best ski lessons and will often have great deals when hiring our the equipment.
