Chemical Reaction Powered Car

Goal

• Design a car that is powered by a chemical reaction.

• The car will be constructed by using K’nex kits.

• We will test the cars to see which travels the farthest!!!

How is the Car Powered?

• Kitchen Chemistry!• Chemical Reaction

• What are we going to use?– Vinegar (5%) = acetic acid + water– Baking soda = sodium bicarbonate
