WHO WOULD BE THE AUDIENCE FOR MY MEDIA PRODUCT?By : Evelina Vysniauskaite

GENDER

My music magazine is not specifically classified more for female audience than male, however the percentage of males to females is 40% to 60% which means females may be slightly more inclined to buy the magazine (this is represented by having male on the front cover as this attracts females’ attention.) Coming back to the point the magazine still can be read by males as the whole magazine keeps quite ‘cold’, dark colours which suggest about seriousness (in the very beginning I said my magazine is aimed just at females, but I changed my opinion because the wider group of people will read the magazine – the more popular it will be)

AGE

Overall the whole magazine is aimed at the audience aged between 18 and about 25 I would say. I am fully aware it is a very big gap and half audience drops out at earlier ages, but the real fans (which I am aiming my music magazine at) stays at least till 25 years old. This is based on my previous Target Audience questionnaire)

OCCUPATION

Magazine is not aimed at high-school pupils as you can see from the age group. It is aimed at mature people, as I write about festivals that they can go (but you have to be over 18), also can be pictures of alcohol or cigarets (not encouraging to use it, just as a representation of the group). This magazine is more aimed at people who are maybe in college or university, having permanent part-time or full-time job. Magazine keeps quite cold, dark colours as I mentioned before which also suggests that it is for more mature people, the ones who can be responsible for themselves.

FACTS

This wide range of likeable music gives the opportunity to drag lots of people into this magazine, as my magazine has lots of features for all this music, it is not specific like just house music. It has different topics which attracts different reader’s attention

Target audience would recognize these Dj’s which I mentioned on the 9th slide.

The mass media I’ve showed is normally fully used by all my target audience members

Also did not mention that my target audience is happy to pay about £3-£4 per monthly released magazine.

Thank You for watching
