programs are reviewed by a team

of international instructors.

• This helps Outward Bound

International ensure that all centers

follow the same safety standards

set out by it.

• At OBIH, we have passed

every international review with

flying colors.

• Our instructors are experienced

mountaineers and trekkers and

have done their advanced

mountaineering courses.

RISK MANAGEMENT

INTERNAL EVALUATION:

• Every Program is assessed for risk

and safety before it starts and after

its completion, as part of a self-

review process.

• We operate as per international

safety norms and all our staff are

trained in these procedures on an

on-going basis.

• Our instructors are experienced

mountaineers and trekkers and

have done their advanced

mountaineering courses.

TRAINING:

• Our Land Activities instructors are

experienced mountaineers and

trekkers and have done their

advanced mountaineering courses

at NIM, Uttarkashi.

• The experienced Water Activities

instructors have been guiding on

Indian rivers for over 15 years and

receive swift-water rescue training

on an annual basis.

• All our staff get regularly trained on

the latest first-aid, CPR and other

life saving techniques.

• Bull’s Camp Pahadi is owned and operated by

Mercury Himalayan Explorations Ltd. (MHE), India’s

largest Outdoor & Adventure Travel Company.

• MHE is promoted jointly by Mercury Travels -

India’s foremost destination management company,

and Col. Narinder ‘Bull’ Kumar, India’s most

celebrated soldier-mountaineer and the man who

helped capture the Siachen Glacier for India. Kumar

Post, on the glacier at 16,000 feet, is named after

him – perhaps the only living soldier to be so

honoured.

• MHE is one of the pioneers of adventure travel in

India, and over the last 34 years has been awarded

multiple National Tourism Awards. The company is

recognized and licensed by the Ministry of Tourism,

Government of India, and a member of ATOAI as

well as ATTA, USA.
