Who is Ruby? Ruby Jade Corado is a self made tireless advocate and leader for so- cial justice in the DC Metro area. She has fought for LGBT Human Rights, Transgender Liberation, Im- migration Equality, Access to Health Care, Hate Crimes/violence and many other disparities and issues facing the communities that she rep- resents. She has lived in Washing- ton, D.C. for the past 27 years de- voting the last 20 years as an advo- cate and leader for social justice. Her hard work has helped to gain legal protections in Washington D.C. Ruby is a bilingual, inspirational speaker and nationally recognized sensitivity trainer focusing on social justice issues. Ruby Jade Corado is a self made tireless advocate and leader for so-cial justice in the DC Metro area. She has fought for LGBT Human Rights, Transgender Liberation, Im-migration Equality, Access to Health Care, Hate Crimes/violence and many other disparities and issues facing the communities that she rep-resents. Did You Know? Career/Employment Services

Casa Ruby is dedicated to helping her clients

receive that jumpstart they deserve. There are a

variety of services Casa Ruby offers that will help

her clients achieve that success. Some of the

services that are offered are:

Education/Training - Aimed at providing skills

needed to attain and maintain employment.

Job Placement Services - Intended to help

clients locate job openings with LGBT friendly

companies.

Job Seeker Services - Gives clients access to

tools and materials needed to present them-

selves in a professional manner.

Career Development Services - Aimed at

helping clients advance their careers and

build networking connections.

Risk Redemption Services - Focuses on solv-

ing issues like homelessness and transporta-

tion issues. With a strong focus on case man-

agement and peer counseling, we help our

clients remain safe, stable and them the tools

needed to allow them to be employable and

stayed employed

Casa Ruby is focused on making sure its clients

get the attention they deserve. Because they are

the only bilingual multicultural safe space in D.C.

Casa Ruby Drop in Center

Here at Casa Ruby we are committed to meeting

the needs of our clients. Our Drop in Center is the

only bilingual multicultural safe space in the

Washington D.C. area.

Legal Services Counseling

Our Drop in Center is open 6 days a week, Mon-

day - Saturday from 12-8 pm. We welcome all to

our center with open arms, and nobody should be

afraid to stop in.

Washington D.C. has the most hate crimes

per capita with a great majority concerning

sexual orientation.

4 out of 5 have been verbally, physically,

or sexually assaulted

1 in 3 are HIV positive

Only 50% are employed

40% have experienced homelessness

because of discrimination
