Who is our target audience?

On our Facebook page a friend had asked a vital question, the answer to which I’m going to expand on in this Powerpoint.

Statistics

I went through IMDB.com to find out what age group enjoyed horror thriller genre films the most. I looked at one the most popular horror films: Sinister (2012).

AnalysisThe graph shows that those aged under 18 rated the film 7.5, this is the highest rating out of all other age groups. This is justified by the level of excitement younger people get from watching horror films, whereas it can also be challenged by the fact that there were so little votes on the Aged under 18 in comparison to Aged 18-29.

In order to confirm my hypothesis that teenagers, under age of 18 were more interested in horror than other age groups, I researched other popular horror films, conveniently some of them are horror thrillers.
