Outside  the  Office  

         Neal’s  passion  for  serving  his  clients  is  matched  only  by  his  compassion  for  animals.  

Neal  and  his  fiancé  Amy  regularly  volunteer  their  Hme  at  local  animal  

shelters.  

They  oUen  walk  the  dogs,  clean  enclosures,  and  find  any  way  they  

can  help.  

They  specifically  visit  overly  crowded  and  high-­‐kill  shelters  to  offer  

comfort  to  dogs  that  are  suffering.  

Neal  puts  his  real  estate  acumen  to  work  by  helping  to  find  permanent  homes  for  dogs  in  the  shelters.  

Neal  and  the  future  Mrs.  

Elbaum  feel  a  tremendous  sense  of  accomplishment  when  they  can  help  

a  dog  find  its  “forever  home”.  

         Finding  homes  for  dogs  in  need  is  one  thing,  but  providing  a  home  is  

another.  

Neal  and  Amy  adopted  a  special  needs  dog  from  one  of  the  shelters  

they  volunteer  at.  

The  dog  is  quite  elderly  at  13  years  old  and  is  both  deaf  and  

blind.  

In  most  cases,  a  dog  at  such  an  advanced  age  would  be  

euthanized,  but  Neal  couldn’t  let  that  happen.  

At  the  Hme  of  adopHon,  the  dog  had  a  terrible  eye  infecHon  that  was  dramaHcally  reducing  its  

quality  of  life.  

AUer  a  few  weeks  of  adopHon  and  plenty  of  tender  love  and  care,  the  dog  is  happy  and  

healthy  and  acHng  like  a  puppy  again.  

Neal  and  Amy  have  given  this  dog  a  safe  and  loving  home  to  

live  out  it’s  final  years.
