Richard James
Richard James invented the slinky. (1914-1974)
He lived in Pennsylvania, He Graduated from Chester county Pennsylvania. He also had a degree in mechanical engineering. James was most known for in venting “the world’s most Enduring toy!”
The new FUN toy?
The slinky was invented in the early nineteen
forty’s. The slinky changed the way kids were entertained from then on. Well, eventually it got tangled and it was fun before it got tangled. Some kids tried to untangle it, but if they couldn’t, they gave the tangled slinky to their parents. If their parents couldn’t untangle the slinky the get it untangled.

Fortunately, the slinky is still used. The slinky is mostly used in school classrooms as a prize. Or you can buy slinkys at Dollar stores. (Dollar tree, Dollar store, Etc.) The slinky is also nicknamed “The Lazy Spring.” After the original slinky was invented, more slinky toys were known to come.
