PPE Categories

Level A Fully encapsulated suit, with over-gloves and overbootsintegrated into the suit. Respiratory protection is a self-contained breathing apparatus. Level A protection is required for entry into an unknown hazardous environment.

Level BA hooded suit, double gloves, overboots, and a self-contained breathing apparatus, and may be used for decontamination procedures for an unknown substance and for entry into hot zones where the agent is not caustic.

Level CSimilar to Level B, but uses an air-purifying respirator instead of a self-contained breathing apparatus. Level C PPE can be used only after the hazardous substance has been identified, and upon verification of adequate oxygen in the environment.

Suit Selection

Why Single-Use?

• Zero maintenance

• No re-testing

• Simplified decontamination and doffing procedures• Wearer peace of mind (new suit every time)

• Lighter weight materials reduce physical burden and increase comfort

• Ideal when you cannot guarantee decontamination• No cross contamination risk (passing contamination to next wearer)

• Long shelf life

• Legislative responsibility of employers for employees• Low cost of ownership due to competitive buying price and lack of yearly maintenance

Type 1A WarfareAgents

RJS – Chemical Respirator SuitChemprotex™ 300

• Designed to provide Emergency Service Workers with a high level of protection against a broad range of Industrial Chemicals and other agents found in Civil Emergency situations, whilst allowing them an enhanced level of comfort and freedom of movement.

• Compared to a gas-tight suit with SCBA, the suit and respirator is significantly lighter and more comfortable, with far greater freedom of movement and operational duration.

• Designed for CBRN incident mass decontamination, hospital first receivers, casualty transport and triage

• Suit immediately ready for single use in civil emergency incidents.

• In-hood alarm system gives simple, clear indication of respirator system status

Type 3 Type 4 Type 5 InfectiveAgents

Antistatic Respiratory Protection

WarfareAgents

RJS – Chemical Respirator SuitChemprotex™ 300

• Respiratory system comprising a battery powered 3M™ Jupiter™ air filter unit

• 4 hour single use and 4 or 8 hour rechargeable options

• Twin JRF-85 CBRN gas & particle filters to provide protection against chemical and biological warfare agents + filter options + A2P R,A2BEK1P R, and ABE1P R filters as options

• Air is drawn through the filters, entering the suit through a breathing tube in the hood and exits through exhaust valves in the knees, providing a cooling air stream over the head and across the body

• Chest zip with double storm flap and hook and loop closure - no taping required to seal

• Chemically protective Kemblok™ glove welded to the suit material, with elasticated over-sleeve for use with outer gloves

• Integral sock foot with elasticated outer leg allows the user to use their own boots without compromising the level of protection

• The loose-fitting hood design provides high protection without the need for a tight-fitting face piece, which means:

• Many wearers feel less constricted• Can be used by wearers with facial hair or glasses• Training needs are reduced• Face-fit testing is not required• Improved communication with casualties & other responders

• In medical and emergency response applications the clear wide-view visor provides reassurance to casualties and victims by allowing easier, friendly ‘whole-face’ communication

PermaSURE®

Toxicity Modelling App

PermaSURE®

• PermaSURE® is a new software tool designed to help answer one simple question: - ‘How long can I work safely in this environment?’

• App calculates your safe working time based on the chemical you are working with, the extent of your exposure, the suit you are using and the suit temperature.

• Results calculated on working temperature of the suit, not the standardised temperature of the test lab

• PermaSURE® takes account of the toxicity of the substance your suit is exposed to when calculating a safe working time
