Fixed operations permitted on TV channels 2-51, except Channels 3, 4 and 37

Maximum of 4 Watts EIRP for fixed operations Base station height restricted to maximum of 30

meters AGL and maximum of 76 meters HAAT for tower site

Overview of Technical Rules

Fixed TVBDs must avoid co-channel and first-adjacent channels

Channel must be available as determined by database, and operations on channel must cease if database indicates channel no longer available

TVBDs must be equipped with automatic power control to limit operating power to the minimum necessary for successful communication

Interoperability among databases and with devices ongoing FCC considering petitions for reconsideration for fixed

operations, but issues should not delay roll-out WISPA and others have sought increase in maximum HAAT of location

to 250 meters and increase in maximum AGL for base stations to 75 meters, with corresponding increases in incumbent buffer zones

Motorola and others have sought to permit equipment with a relaxed spectral mask alongside restrictive mask in rules to increase throughput/coverage and lower equipment and deployment costs
