Where horses help people with challenges…..
It takes an army to move horses, helmets and more to the Fairgrounds overnight for this big event. We owe a special thanks to Program Coordinator Callie Bennett who kept everyone confident, to Herd Manager Kenzie Hindman who doctored three horses throughout the event, Board Member Joe Vielma who moved all 9 horses AND rode in the Relay, Instructors Meredith Moore, Tracy Carter and Cherie Shupert who coached and manned the mounting ramp and Volunteer Stephanie Hindman who got the right shirts on the right riders at the right time, all our great volunteers in lime t-shirts who represented our program so well and certainly to all the rider’s parents who cheered.

Turning Point Faces in the News…..
Meet the Ryan Family. Grace and Christian ride with Turning Point and both Mom and Dad help in lots of ways. Now their Per-kins Church has donated a month of Senior Feed as part of a Vaca-tion Bible School program.
Something to Shout About
Turning Point Helps CS Ranch
Thanks Hastings! Turning Point Board Members, volunteers and staff got up early every Saturday of home games to run a parking concession that earned nearly $8,000 this Fall.

This fall, Turning Point welcomed a group of out-standing volunteers from the Stillwater High School. We also have OSU students who are getting
academic or community service credit for classes, clubs or
scholarships. And we have moms, business owners and retirees. We’d love to have you join us too. All the forms and even virtual orientation are online at www.turningpointriding.org
Program Coordinator Callie Bennett earned PATH certi-fication, recruited at the OSU Volunteer Fair and spoke to civic groups about TPR
Instructor Meredith Moore also earned PATH certifica-tion and competed as a Hunter-Jumper while also a fulltime OSU student...whew
Board President Dee Miller attended the PATH Interna-tional Conference in Bellvue, WA to receive the Region 8 Volunteer of the Year Award
Meet Doc, the newest member of the Turning Point herd. He’s been well trained by Board Member Joe Vielma, but now he’s learning about bubbles, swimming noodles and riders with disabilities. We are expecting a 10th horse early next month so our school-ing team is busy.
Turning Point’s Callie Bennett, Kenzie Hind-man, Meredith Moore and Natalea Watkins helped CS Ranch with the new center’s first session. The CS Ranch Director, Dez Michaelson is also teaching at Turning Point to prepare for her certification. CS Ranch will serve up to 90 adults who live in 27 group homes in Ponca, Morrison and Stillwater.
Calling All...

very generous gift to our program • The OSU Emeriti Association made a gift in honor of
Natalea Watkins’ work for their group • St. Andrews Mission Fund made a donation • Sally Sharpe wrote a check after a Noon Kiwanis Club
Presentation about Turning Point • Megan Stone gave invaluable advice on our taxes • Kirk Turner shared his horse and hay expertise • Josh Bible helped haul horses ahead of a range fire
