Meaning for us?

• When we are at work on Monday and we are asked to betray our Lord into the hands of our bosses when they ask us to compromise our Sermon on the Mount values, will we sell out for a few silver coins?

• When Jesus asks us to tarry a while with him in prayer for some persons that we know who are having a really hard day will we stay awake enough to notice and pray for them?

• Will we deny knowing Him if saying that we do will make it so that we are unaccepted in a group?

• How far will we go to protect ourselves? How far will we go to show that our allegiance is pledged to Jesus Christ?

Once again

• All this is hard and we need help. The Cross of Christ proclaims that God understands that we need grace and that we cannot do this on our own. You do not need to do this on your own. Christ is here for you and has started down the road for you so that you might follow Him. We might not be able to do it ourselves but we can most certainly follow the One who was able to do it Himself. Will you today, pledge your allegiance to the One who died on our behalf so that we might have the kind of life God intended for us?
