1. How old were you when you started to work?

• I was 21 years old.

Has life changed a lot from last century?

• I had happiness, sadness, pain, but I can say that the life is

much better now.

How many jobs have you had?

• I had only two jobs in my life. Flamenco teacher and

saleswoman.

Have you got any children?

• I’ve got 6 children, and I love them.

Are you a widow/widower?

• No, I’m not.

What’s the best/worst memory you have?

• The best is when I was six yeard old, and my brother was born.

The worst is when my daughter died, she was only one year old.

Was life hard when you were a child?

• Unfortunately, yes, but we didn’t know about anything better so,

we were happy.

What did you want to be when you were younger?

• I wanted to be a nurse, or an artist.

Did you attend school?

• Yes, I did, my mum was right when she decided to make me go

to school.

Did you like studying?

• Yes, I loved it.

Were you happy with the life you had?

• Yes, I’m proud of it and I haven’t got anything to regret.

Did you get what you wanted in life?

• With the possibilities that were in those days for a woman, yes, I

get it.

When was your life easier, now o before?

• Definitely, now.

How old are you? When were you born?

• I’m eighty-five years old.• I was born in 1925.

Where are you from?

• I’m from Spain, specifically from Andalucía.

What are your hobbies?

• When I was younger, I liked dancing, and have fun. Now I like

cross knitting.

Where did you live?

• I lived in Níjar (Almería, Andalucía) and here in Figueres.

Have you had any health problems?

• Only when I was 29 yeard old, the doctors extirpated my womb.

What did you and your friends do to enjoy

yourselves?

• We liked to meet friends and have fun.

What performes did you like?

• I liked all flamenco singers, because I loved dancing.

Have you practised any sports?

• Only dancing.

Have you had any pets?

• I lived in a farm, so I had dogs, cats, horses, cows, ducks,

chickens, goats...
