fort even in hatchback Skodahas launched its much awaitedsmall car Skoda Fabia in India.The Fabia is a 5-door largehatchback, based on the PQ25,which is a large new platform,the Fabia has a chassis with asophisticated front MacPher-son strut suspension along witha strong lower A-arm and non-independent rear suspension.The Czech manufacturer haskept Indian concerns in mindbefore release of the new modelby introducing a raised suspen-sion and returned springs anddampers – all together calledthe ‘rough road’ package.

The Fabia’s anti-lock brak-ing system (ABS) ensures max-imum control of the vehicle inemergency braking situations.Its Motor Speed Regulator(MSR) and dual brake assistsystem ensure utmost safetywhile driving.

The Fabia in India comes indiesel and petrol variants thatare borrowed from the SkodaRoomster, which is anothersuccessful model from Skoda.The 1.4 PD TDI diesel variantcomes with an Inline-3 enginethat generates 70 bhp. The 86bhp 1.4 MPI petrol and 70 bhp1.2 MPI petrol variant has anInline-4 engine. Both enginesare coupled to a 5-speedmanual transmission.
