Until Mon 6 January 2014Worktown – The Drawings of Falcon HildredThis major exhibition showcases the life’s work of artist Falcon Hildred, whose evocative drawings document the industrial landscapes and buildings of England and Wales. A partnership between the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales and Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust Limited, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Regular events Walks and talksMake the most of your visit by enjoying one of our walks, talks and demonstrations. See a slate being split, fi nd out what wood had to do with the story of slate, get up close and personal with UNA, our quarry engine, and fi nd out just what makes a perfect pattern in our behind the scenes talk with the curator. Please call the Museum or visit the website for dates and times.
Thurs 31 October1pm – 3pmPerfect Patterns The pattern makers could produce a wooden pattern for any metal object needed by the workshops or the quarry, from wagon wheels to steam engine parts. There are thousands in our collection! Take a peek behind the scenes with our curator to fi nd out how we’re looking after this amazing collection.

Are you brave enough to follow the Hallowe’en trail through the Museum? Each completed trail wins a prize!
Tues 29 – Wed 30 October 12pm – 4pm Hallowe’en Crafts
Create a creepy craft to take home in our drop-in workshops.
Thurs 27 February – Sun 2 March, 10am – 4pm Model Railway Show
Enjoy a great day out at our popular annual model railway show. Daily demonstrations, talks and various engines plus layouts of all shapes and sizes on display. Free rides for children on miniature steam engines. Don’t forget to bring your own 00 gauge trains and have a go on the children’s test track layout!
Sat 1 March, 11am – 3pm St David’s Day!
Come and visit ‘the most Welsh of Welsh industries’ on Wales’s national day.Enjoy a free welsh-cake in the museum café!
ChristmasSun 24 November – Sun 22 December Quarrymen’s Christmas Visit our quarrymen’s homes all decorated for the Christmas season and enjoy a warming meal in the museum café.
Sun 24 November11am – 4pm Christmas Fair
A perfect way to get in the mood for the festive season. See Santa arrive by train and then visit him in his grotto. Enjoy making a seasonal craft to take home and take part in family activities including puppet shows and storytelling.
