Hey guys,

Welcome to the latest edition of the What’s On Guide, your

definitive guide to all SU, Ents, society and sporting events

taking place in Belfield. Even though it’s only a matter of

weeks until the end of the year, we’ve still got plenty going on

to keep your social calendar filled!

A lot of the SU’s attention at the moment is focused on the UCD Ball, the epic last day of

term festival-style event coming your way on Friday 23 April. Months of preparation have

gone into it, and there’s still plenty left to do. Ticket sales have gone unbelievably well so far,

and there’s only a small amount remaining. If you’re one of the unlucky few not to have one

yet, what are you waiting for? Pop into the SU shop in the Library Building or Student Centre,

or get your ticket online at www.ucdball.ie.

Election fever has already hit the campus. A new generation of SU sabbatical officers is

looking for your vote so that they can grab the helm of Ireland’s largest students’ union and

serve Ireland’s largest student population. You’ve heard their lecture addresses, and you’ve

read their manifestos. Talk to the candidates, ask them questions, find out what they will do

for you if elected – make an informed choice. Remember, it’s your SU, so take a few minutes

out of your time on 3 & 4 March to have your say on who will represent you next year. More

details about the elections can be found on pages 8-10.

Take it easy,

Gary, Scott, Mike-Pat, Pad
