January 23rd23rdPreparation for theAnnual ExibitionSteve Cull of Paul Graham Photographic Processing Ltd will give atalk followed by a workshopSteve plans to have an open discussion about printing, mountingand presentation of images to a professional standard.He will bring samples of different surfaces and mounting materials.Steve will also tell us how to prepare digital images for printing onyour system(s) to give optimum quality.

Trips & Outings19th FebruarySunday 10.30am­2.30pmPhoto Walk LiverpoolOur Member Steward Ellett runs photo walks in Liverpool in asscociation withDot Art and the Blue Coat.Photowalks ­ dot­art at the Bluecoathttp://photowalks.eventbrite.com/?ref=ebtnSteward Ellett leads a guided walk around the architectural highlights ofLiverpool looking at different ways of capturing photos using various in cameratechniques. Dress for all weathers and bring your camera!I’m sure you all know Steward Ellett. If not he has been a photographer forover 15 years. For the last few years he has been teaching photography on apractical level. This has included taking groups round Chester, Manchesterand Liverpool.He’s had work published in numerous photography and wildlife publicationsand written several articles on 'how to' take photographs of various subjects. Inthe last three years he has been highly commended in the British Wildlife

Photography Awards and have been published each yearin their book.Venue: The Bluecoat, SchoolLane, Liverpool, L1 3BXSituated in the centre of Liverpool, just behind ChurchStreet, down Church Alley and in front of Liverpool ONE.You can enter the building via the front courtyard offSchool Lane, or through the garden at the back off CollegeLane. Nearest train station­Liverpool Central.The normal cost is £25 per session. But this will be adedicated walk for B&DCC members only at a reducedprice.The price depends on numbers, £20 PP each,If we getmore than five (max 10) it will be £18 PP.It will be 4­5 hours, which is ample for Liverpool, but hewill be happy to spend longer if everyone wants at noextra cost.You need to Book this onecontact Steward [email protected]

HelpWe hope that by producing What's On we introduce younot only to the activities provided by the club but also toother opportunities to get out and about to takephotographs or to see exhibitions or listen to interestingspeakers.However we can only do this if we know what is going onoutside the club.We need input from you tokeep What's On and thecalendar up­todate.If you learn of anything which might be of interest to othermembers whether it be somewhere to go or something tosee please let us know. Cover imagesI am sure that there is someone out there who would liketo have their image on the cover and if you would sendme an image you have every chance of it being used nextweek.The image should be about 1500 pixels wide. What's Onis landscape format and therefore landscape images arepreferred you will also note that type is placed to thebottom right­hand corner so please take that into accountwhen choosing the photograph.

FeaturedPhotographerWe also have introduced a Featured Photographer itemon the web page so if you have a set of images you wouldlike to profile send them to me with a short story and youtoo can be featured.
