Student of the Month

Loma Vista Middle School is proud to recognize Addalyn Punsalan as the Alvord Unified School District Student

of the Month for March 2012.

Addalyn is an incredibly intelligent student, earning

straight A’s in some of the toughest classes including

Geometry. Addalyn is also a leader at Loma Vista and

currently serves as the ASB President. She works well

with her classmates and listens to their ideas about how

to make Loma Vista a better place. Addalyn can always

be counted on to create great dances and events for

students to enjoy. Addalyn sets an excellent example in

leadership and shows genuine concern for every student

she works with. Addalyn is on her way to being a

success in whatever field she chooses to pursue.

It is a great pleasure to honor Addalyn Punsalan as the

Certificated Employee of the Month

Loma Vista Middle School is proud to recognize Patricia Suppe as the Alvord Unified School District Certificated

Employee of the Month for March 2012.

Patti Suppe is an icon throughout the State of California

when it comes to the physical activity and health of

students. She is a pioneer in her field and has been

advocating the importance of daily activity and health to

the students of Loma Vista since she arrived on campus.

Patti’s passion in life is to make students healthy and for

them to live a healthy lifestyle. She loves having former

students visit and tell her about how fast they ran a

marathon. Patti helped to develop Loma Vista’s physical

education program which includes tracking the health of

each student. Patti was also instrumental in getting the

Riverside Medical Foundation to come to Loma Vista and

teach healthy lifestyle concepts to the students and their

families. Through Patti’s hard work, determination and

singular focus, Loma Vista was able to win the prestigious

award of “Middle School of the Year” this year in the

Governor’s Challenge Program. Loma Vista won their own

fitness center with close to $100,000.00 work of new

equipment! Patti is truly a testament to living a healthy

lifestyle and by motivating the youth of today, she has

made an impact on the community.

It is a great pleasure to honor Patricia Suppe as the Alvord Unified School District Certificated Employee of the

as educating staff on the latest fashions! Mia has worked

very hard to start a Loma Vista Pride Parent Group this
