• Installationmaytake1hourormore.Planaccordingly.• Youmusthaveadministratorrightsonyourcomputer.• Restartyourcomputerbeforeyouinstallthissoftware.• Closeallopensoftwareapplications.Youmayneedtodisableanyvirusscanning
softwarerunningonyourcomputer.Besuretore‐enablewheninstallationiscomplete.• Makeabackupofyourdatabeforeinstallingthissoftware.• SystemRequirementsWizardmayinstalladditionalcomponentsneededbySASiftheyarenot

Therearethreestepstotheinstallation.
UChasaSASordertypeofplanning.ThisrequiresaplanfileinordertoinstallSAS(seesomeofthelinksabove.)AplannedSASinstallationisneededifyouhaveaSASmetadataserver,orotherSASserver.ForasimpleSASinstallation,withnometatdataserver,youcanfollowtheseinstructionsto
installSAS.
StepOne:CreatetheSASDepot.ThisstepcopiestheSASinstallationfilesfromtheDVDtoyourharddrive.TheSASDepotcanberemovedaftertheSASClientDepotiscreated.
StepTwo:Changetheordertypetonoplanning,andthencreateaSASClientDepot.ThisstepcreatesaSASDepotwiththenecessaryfilestorunSAS.ClientuserswillneedaccesstotheSAS
ClientDepottorunSAS.Youwillneedtobeonaclientworkstationmappedtotheservertocreatetheclientdepotontheserver.
StepThree:InstallSASclientfilesonclientcomputersusingtheSASClientDepot.
