Save, Recall and Copy MapsSave map

• Maps are saved as a named item for easy recall.• Maps are dynamic. Changes to data or interpretation are automatically changed on the map.• Contours are automatically regenerated from a grid or horizon unless the map contains saved

contours.

• New save map icon provides quick access .

• Information icon provides information on the contents of the map.

Recall map

• Map toolbar provides both quick map recall or list/filter select recall.• Quick select displays the last maps saved.• List/filter select brings up a dialog with all saved maps and allows the user to filter to quickly

find the correct map.

Copy map

• Copy an existing saved map to a new named map.• Copy another author’s map and map contents (data). The data along with the map can then

be modified.• Access Copy map quickly and easily with new map icon.

Cross Section Templates• Save horizontal and vertical scales, logs and log curve settings, active wells, connection

styles, and more.• Apply the template to any cross section digitized in a project.

• Share the template with different authors in a project.

Page 5: Whats new

Save and Load Cross Section Template• Save display information for use with other cross sections including:

- scale information including spacing- well log template—curves and tracks- formations, colors and connection information

• Load a saved template with a single click.

Log Curve Alias Template• Share log curve alias schemes (saved as an XML format file) among authors in a project and

between projects. • Save and Load templates with a single click.

Borehole Notes Table• Create multiple textual notes for each borehole. • Edit borehole notes for individual wells, or in a spreadsheet.• Query and post borehole notes on a map.• Import and export borehole notes.

Multiple SEG Y Export• Export a collection of survey data types at once rather than one-at-a-time.

- Set up multiple seismic data-volume exports.- Export all data types for a single 2D or 3D survey at one time.- Export all 2D or 3D seismic surveys for a given data type in a single set up.

- Select seismic surveys to export from the following list options:• the working set • all surveys in a project• survey subsets• saved polygons

- Set the bulk SEG Y output directories:• Define the multiple SEG Y file output directory.• Estimate the total space required.• Confirm that the space is available before exporting.

Page 11: Whats new

- Customize standard export file naming convention of survey name_data type:• Switch standard name to data type_survey name.• “Use date” as a prefix or suffix.• Add a user-defined prefix and/or suffix.

• After export view detailed logs containing information about each SEG Y file created.

Shift Child Volumes with MistiesShift child volumes (up and down Z axis) when misties are applied to the parent volume. Child volumes include 2d3dPAK slices, bricks, and Illuminator volumes.

In the example below, a +0.5 sec adjustment is made to the Z position of the 3D Migration survey’s Amplitude data type through the mistie table.

Original Amplitude data type before mistie. “Amplitude” data type after 500 msec mistie.

Amplitude time slice at 1.224 sec before mistie was applied.

“Amplitude” time slice at 1.724 sec (after 500 msec mistie)

Horizon Autopicking—CoreUse named polygons for Polygon Erase.

• Apply Polygon Erase inside or outside of specified polygon.

New polygon options replace Polygon Hunt picking mode.

• Use named polygons with 3D Hunt starting from the Base Map or VSD.• Apply 3D Hunt inside or outside of polygon delimited area.

Auto Tracking—KINGDOM Core Enhancements

Horizon Autopicking—AdvancedUsability improvements• better color coordination for pick status map• optimized autopicking on multiple surveysPerformance improvements for Illuminator volumes generation• less space used• up to 40% faster

New search option for 2D Seeker+

• “stop at selected trace” search option preserves existing picks

Auto Tracking—KINGDOM Advanced Enhancements

Doublet Controls for Seeker Picking

• Snap to the upper part of a doublet or snap to the lower part of a doublet.

Seeker Picked Horizon Import/Export

• Export and import new SMT horizon file format “Seeker”.

• The Seeker picked horizon import/export has the following capabilities:- Exports Seeker horizons from multiple surveys- Displays only the surveys with the selected horizon picks- Filters Seeker picked horizons by time or depth- Automatically imports and exports advanced horizon attributes - Displays all information on the data stored in the file in the horizon header

- Recognizes Seeker horizons during horizon import

KINGDOM GeoModelingTM is a powerful 3D modeling tool that creates sealed geo-cellular earth models which are used in conjunction with the other KINGDOM Advanced tools for structural and stratigraphic closure, interpretation, volumetric calculations, and reserve analysis. KINGDOM GeoModeling requires KINGDOM Advanced.

With KINGDOM GeoModeling:

• Leverage end-to-end asset and property evaluation workflows.• Avoid data I/O issues. GeoModeling is fully integrated with KINGDOM.• Build models in both time and depth domains.• Distribute rock and log properties in 3D.• Compute 3D volumetrics quickly and easily.

KINGDOM GeoModeling—Advanced Optional Module
