Lightning Protection
This lightning conductor is based on the principle of the spreading of
electromagnetic waves. Lightning conductor consists of capturing end, ion
generators, lightning conductor crown, electrodes, triggering circuit,
grounding cable connector and the pole connector components. These
components have been manufactured using the best materials defined by
the standards. Except for the grounding cable connector (which is made of
copper, and coated with chromium) all other components are made of
stainless material resistant to atmospheric corrosion. The ion generator and
the triggering circuit have been frozen with a special material inside the
cone-like stainless crown, thus protected against humidity.

All mode protection – LEPS MSD series surge diverters provide state-of-the-art protection
for main or branch panels using any power distribution systems such as TT, TN-C, or TN-S, etc.
It offers L-N, L-E, and N-E, repeated protection in lightning intense environment by rapidly
diverts excess transient surges to ground, away from your sensitive equipment.
Highest safety standard design – It has been engineered to the industry’s safest criteria
for full compliance with UL1449 Edition2 by using a specially designed metallic enclosure. Also
with its patented thermal and short circuit fusing included, it ensures safe isolation during
sustained abnormal over-voltage events and component failure.
Exceptional high surge handling capability up to 140ka per line (280ka per
phase) – Its 200ka to 560ka unit total unparalleled surge handling capability makes MSD series
protector the ultimate choice for total facility protection.
Staged LED status indication – all models have two LED indicators per phase to monitor
the integrity of protection. This pre-failure warning indication design means you will never be
unprotected.
Remote monitoring – all models features voltage free contacts with normal open/normal
close contacts which change state to indicate a fault. It can be interfacing with intelligent
building management systems for remote indication.
Redundant protection segments – Each phase employs two independent fused and
thermal overload protection elements to provide back-up protection for continued equipment
survival despite a fault condition. This means that in the event of a fault situation, you are
never left unprotected.

Multi-stage design for better protection – CLP series coaxial protectors use multi-
stage design by employing a combination of high energy gas discharge tube, ultra fast diodes
and SAD which ensures excellent protections without impairing system performance.
High sure rating and bandwidth – with its 20ka surge handling capability and 20mhz
high bandwidth, it can provide the safest protection lightning intense environment and also
ensures a smooth signal traffic.
All mode protection – transients appear between the inner conductor of a coaxial cable
and its screen, and also between the cable’s screen and the terminal’s frame ground can lead
to the damage of the semiconductors and integrated circuits of the sensitive equipment. CLP

3 MAIN PURPOSES OF GROUNDING SYSTEM
