What does it mean for us?• We should know His word and apply it to our lives• We should live as He lived and be loving servants to others• We should be living sacrifices and seek to share the good news to the lost

One of the most common terms used throughout scripture when talking to the body of believers• Paul and others uses it when addressing their letters to various churches and bodies of believers• Associated with us becoming sanctified through Christ when we put Him on in baptism• Describes how God sees us after being saved through the blood of Jesus Christ

What does it mean for us?• No longer lost and alone in our sin! (I Corinthians 6:11)• We are saved and fellow citizens in the kingdom God has prepared for His people (Ephesians 2:19-21)• We are pure and holy in God’s sight

One of the most endearing terms I find in the scriptures• Expresses the depth of love that God has had for us since the beginning

• Imagine a love that would allow you to send your one and only son to suffer and die for others

• Imagine a love that spans every continent, every person• Imagine a love that constantly forgives and forgets

• Denotes how He is a caretaker and protector for us as His children• Makes us brothers and sisters in a common calling• Helps us understand why He is preparing a place for us in Heaven, despite our weaknesses

It is only through being a child of God that we expect to be heirs to His throne
