September 11, 2016 Breakfast at 9:30 AM Rally Day Sunday, September 11 The Christian Education Committee invites everyone to breakfast on Sunday, September 11, at 9:30 AM, in the Fellowship Hall to kick off a new program year. Instead of regular Sunday School classes, there will be a program, which will include service opportunities from each committee about how we can join them in furthering the church's mission. Even if you don't usually attend Sunday School, come to breakfast for food and fellowship! Blessings and Children's Worship During both services this Sunday, Pastor Mark will have a special blessing for teachers, students and their backpacks. All students are invited to bring their backpacks to church. Elder Cindy Edgerton will present Bibles to 2nd graders. During the 11 o'clock service, Children's Worship will resume for children age 4 through 2nd grade. They will be escorted to their worship space after the Time with Young Disciples. PDA Responds to Louisiana FloodingIn the aftermath of catastrophicflooding in the Gulf regionPresbyterian Disaster Assistance isproviding assistance to thePresbytery of South Louisiana andreached out to the Presbytery ofMississippi PDA has approved twogrants to be used to addresscommunity needs The flooding this August dumped nearly 22 inches of rain in parts ofLouisiana and other Gulf states according to the National Weather Service
