• EV 11 IMAP Access provides access to archives via any IMAP client

– Outlook, Mac Mail, iOS, Zimbra, Thunderbird, Blackberry, Android, etc

• Archives are presented to the user as a mailbox

• Folder structure reflects the folders in the archive

• Operations made by the client are reflected in the archive

– i.e. Copying, moving, deleting items or folders (where allowed)

• Search provided by client either on downloaded content or ‘search on server’

• A new archive type has been added to support non-exchange users. This type is the “Internet Mail” archive

• Supported archive types are

• Storage Queue now managed using NTFS files rather than MSMQ

• The new Storage Queue keeps a copy of the item, so that you effectively have two copies during processing until the backup secures the item

• Provides better performance

• Mailboxes still have safety copies

– Safety copy changes to fully archived once Storage Queue processes item

– Space is then freed up in the mailbox

– Important for mailbox quota issues
