May 17 Huddart Park Outdoor Church: What You Need to Know
!Next Saturday, May 17th, at 10:30 AM, Sunnyvale’s Young Professionals and the Church Event Planning Commi:ee will host our Outdoor Church service at Huddart Park in the Zwierlein Park area. Below are some facts that may be helpful to you all. Please note that the church will be CLOSED this day.
Here is the address: 1100 Kings Mountain Rd Woodside, CA 94062
We are at a new spot this year -‐ Zwierlein Picnic Area. When you get to the entrance ask them to please direct you to the picnic area. The map on the back is only to get you to the park itself.
As with any parks, parking is limited. We emphasize the importance of carpooling. If you need a ride or can provide a ride, there is a sign-‐up sheet on the table at the back of the sanctuary by the entrance.
Potluck: Here’s how we want you to help with the food.
By the first le7er of your last name please bring….
· A-‐F will bring Main Dishes
· G-‐K will bring green/pasta Salads
· L-‐P will bring snack food items such chips/dips/ hummus, bean dip, torNlla chips and items of that nature that can be snacked on as folks wish
· Q-‐U will bring desserts
· V-‐Z will bring fruit salads and fresh fruit. · We will provide all paper goods, tablecloths, and drinks. If you want or require something specific to eat or drink,
please bring it so you have it.
What to Bring: · Comfortable outdoors clothing and shoes (clothing you’ll be comfortable in when siRng on the grass or picnic
table) and shoes...for walking and hiking. · Sunscreen and bug repellant · Long and short sleeve tops and pants, and probably a hat. · $6 cash per car for park entrance fee · Blankets and lawn chairs
· Volleyballs if you have them, horseshoes if you have them, frisbees, other outdoor games and toys. · And a happy smile
On the back of this sheet is a map with full direcNons to Huddart Park. This campground has running water, one faucet, 2 electrical outlets, one fountain, a large grassy meadow, picnic area with 14 tables, bathrooms close by, and about 75 parking spaces, which are on a first-‐come, first-‐served basis.
!If you need assistance with trekking stuff to the picnic area, there will be some Young Professionals on
hand to help with this. Just give a shout out when you get to the picnic area or look for Ramey or Wilson Barrios or Ryan Hazley.

Directions From Sunnyvale Church: • Take 280 North. From the church, turn Right onto Fremont Ave and follow it to 85 South, which will be
LEFT onto the freeway from Fremont. • Exit onto 280 North from 85 South. STAY IN RIGHT HAND LANES ON 85 SOUTH. • Exit onto Woodside Road/84. Make a LEFT, (west onto Woodside after exiting.) You’ll drive about 1.5
miles throuth the town of Woodside before you... • Turn RIGHT onto Kings Mountain Road • Look for the signs directing you to Huddart Park once you turn onto Kings Mountain Road !Once in the Park: • Each car will need to pay a $6 entrance fee • At the entrance, ask for directions to Zwierlein Park Area. (Sherrill is challenged and couldn’t figure out the
map. • There is lots of parking but you have to walk to the picnic area after parking, so bring kids to help trek all
your stuff : )) or grab a Young Professional when you get to the parking area.
