In February 2014 your TWU member-led negotiating committee came to an in-principal agreement with TNT management.
This three-and-a-half year deal was secured after months of meetings and discussions with management and report back meetings in yards.
Your TWU member-led negotiating committee stood strong in tough discussions to ensure a positive future for you, your mates and your family.
With an 80% Yes vote by TNT workers across Australia, this agreement has been endorsed and now registered with the Fair Work Commission.

CLAUSE 12: Stronger disputes procedures in place to allow for disputes on a wider range of industrial issues.
CLAUSE 10:JOB SECURITY:
TNT is committed to encouraging the full time engagement of its Transport Workers. Accordingly, wherever possible, it will utilise full¬time Transport Workers in preference to casual or part-time Transport Workers, labour hire and outside hire.
EXPIRY DATE:30 June 2017
CLAUSE 24: Disaster leave:
New leave provisions allow three days leave when workers are unable to travel to work or must attend to their properties
following a natural disaster.
CLAUSE 22-23:Training:
• Workplace Health and Safety training for Delegates and an ability to choose
own WH&S training provider
CLAUSE 25:Four weeks paid maternity
leave.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW!CLAUSE 15:
Nine per cent wage & 1.25% super increase over the life of
the agreement + $1000 sign on bonus.
START DATE: 1 January 2014 CLAUSE 21:
TNT have agreed to hold discussions with
the TWU about concept of an EcoStation
Environmental Learning Program which will look into fuel-efficient driver
training.CLAUSE 3:
The EA applies to all transport workers employed by TNT.
CLAUSE 8:Negotiating the next agreement:
• Agreement on the attendance of a delegate from NT for first time
• Commitment to paid report back meetings.
TNT agrees to support the TWU’s Safe Rates with the introduction of a Safe
Rates Committee - who will focus on the safety and
security of workers in their employment and
conditions.
CLAUSE 19:
CLAUSE 18:Access to 30 minute paid union meetings
every three months at all TNT yards.
Thirty minutes TWU induction for all employees and labour hire.
Delegates rights:• Up to eight days delegate leave• Increased TWU presence and
attendance at inductions and site meetings.
CLAUSE 10.5: Outside hire site rates at the
Award rate + 10% over the life of the agreement.
