What to expect from a Digipak?By Diana Kalinina - Ivanova
Digipak
Digipak is a printed style of an optical disc packaging, in simple words it is the cover for the CD which has been produced.
It represents the artist as well as the song / album. The most simple digipaks have the front cover, two images on the inside
– one on the right hand side the other on the left hand side, one of which usually has a CD on it, and finally be back cover.
Front
• Front covers are the things that grab the attention.
• They include: Artist & album nameImage of the artist
• The do not have much on them but the right image with the right font text is something that grabs the audience attention.
Inside
• It varies depending on the artist, however usually they would have a track list which is included on the album.
• It if it a digipak for a song then just that song would be included.
• The CD tends to have the name of the artist or an image of an artist showing that it is their CD.
Back
• The back covers are the informative side of a digipak because they tend to have the song names, the bar code, record label as well the artists name together with the title of the album.
• The are almost like the front covers because they grab the attention and are almost the continuation of the front cover.
