What Just Happened?

Whoosh went the plane as it landed in Iraq at Baghdad

international airport. Timmy and his mother got off the plane

and went down to customs to get their passports checked. They

went down to baggage claim to get their bags off the conveyer

belt full of bags.

At the baggage claim was a sign that said

“ Find an artifact and get your name in the newspaper.”

Timmy said to his mom, “I am going to find an artifact

and get my name in the newspaper.”

“You can do that Timmy because we are going to go camping by

the Euphrates river,” replied his mom.

Timmy and his mom got the next taxi to take them to

where they could find a guide to go camping with them

Timmy scooched up to the glass divider and asked through

the hole, “Do you know of any guides who can take us camping

by the Euphrates River?”

The taxi driver answered, “The closest guide company is

in Babil which is right near the Euphrates River.

After a long drive to Babil, Timmy and his mom finally

arrived at the guide company.

Timmys mom asked the guy at the counter

“do you have any guides available for the next three

days?”

“ Yes we do,” answered the man at the counter.

Then the man at the counter went into the back room and got

one of the guides. The guide he came back with was tall and

very tan,

“ Hi, I’m George, “ said the guide.”

“ I will take you camping by the Euphrates river”

Timmy said “ Thank you “ that will be fun “ and off they

went on a short drive to the euphrates river.

Right when they arrived at the Euphrates Timmy said

“ I am going to go and explore around the banks of the

river.”

Timmy ran off to go explore but after running around for

awhile. Something shiny caught his eye so he ran over to it.

When He got to the artifact the sand started to fall below him

and he fell into a deep hole. When he hit the bottom of the

hole he tried to yell to see if his mom could hear him.When he

figured out that his mom could not hear him he started walking

around in the hole. He sat against a wall and decided to rest.

He noticed there were small pieces stone with odd writing on

it. Timmy had read on the plane ride all about Iraq and how

the sumerians used to live in mesopotamia which was where he

was. He also knew what the writing was called cuneiform. He

must have fallen into one of the scribes rooms.

He walked down another one of the tunnels into an even

bigger room with tons of gold in it. He saw lots of gold

helmets and chariots. this could have been where they stored

all their weapons. Down another tunnel was a huge gate , it

must have been the gates of Ishtar the main entrance that got

covered in sand. Timmy stood under the gates and they began to

fall.

In all the commotion Timmy heard his name and all of the

sudden he was back in his room. Don’t forget timmy your report

on the Tomb of Ur is due today.” Mom” said timmy

“I had the craziest dream last night. And after Timmy had

his breakfast he went to school.
