What impact does tourism have on the

environment?

What is happening?

What will happen in the future?

Why did it happen here?

How is this linked to the economy?

Who gains and who loses?

How have people been affected?

Have peoples lives changed, if so is this

an improvement?

Why would they want

this?

Who decided for

this to happen?

Is any one against it?

CBD – In this bit you will find loads of stuff. There are some big companies like doing money. These are in massive block buildings. Theres loads of shops like Next, Debenhams and JJB. Some of these are in shopping malls. Old buildings also are found here.

Inner City – This bit has got different stuff like old factories which are rubbish now and tiny old houses right near them which are all squashed up with little shops. There are new bits where they knock the old down and build towers for living and shopping and entertainment bits.

Inner Suburbs – Here theres big houses, with more space for stuff. The shops are now rows with things needed all the time.

Outer Suburbs – This bit of a town has big, new houses as well and new business areas full of large shops selling furniture and some making things. You can sometimes find a Tescos here as well. The streets are in round patterns with gardens.

Greenbelt – There is nothing really here just some fields and farms and small villages.

Has the writer described and explained? Key terms? Given appropriate examples? Discussed housing, shops, businesses, industry, new and old features.

Reducing the impact of a flood

What flood does can be mad less worse by getting the people ready, with their stuff and an idea of where to go.

They can make their pads safe with blocks and tape and moving stuff so the water don’t get it.

People in rich places are told, but poor places they aren’t. We have people top help and know stuff.

Build stuff away.

Preventing a flood

I can make a river not want to flood all over by digging and making the bit that holds the river massive so it can hold loads because its massive so the water stays in the bit and doesn’t go out all over the place cos its full.

You can build bits near the river like a fake wall to keep the water back.

If you had loads of cash you could blow the river up and make it non bendy. This makes the water at speed move to the sea like a rocket. Loads of cash for a wall across the river and a new lake works.

I might plant a bush or two as well and ask farmers to drive one way.
