i-Ready as an engaging online tool to make homework less of a chore for

students and parents.

STEMS Administration in partnership with the 2016-17 STEMS PTO are

exploring ways to make i-Ready available for our kids (and parents) too!

What is i-Ready and how can it help my child

with homework? I-Ready helps children learn Common Core and state standard concepts

using an adaptive learning instruction customized for each student. The

program includes regular adaptive assessments that analyze students'

weak and strong areas. This program features lessons across K-12 levels

and helps monitor students' learning progression throughout their school

careers. Animated characters make i-Ready fun and engaging for students,

who also undergo regular intervention and feedback.

How can I help my child get the most out of i-Ready Diagnostic and Instruction?

•Talkwithyourchildabouthowpracticingi-Ready Diagnostic and Instructionathomewillhelpprepareforclasswork.Also,explainthati-Ready Diagnostic and Instructionwillshowteacherswhereyourchildisdoingwellandwhichtopicsneedsomemorereview.

• Encourageyourchildtousethetoolsprovidedduringlessons(referencetoobjectives,keyterms,etc.)andtousescrappaperformathcomputation.

• Helpyourchildidentifyandbecomefamiliarwiththedifferentpartsofthestudenthomepage(MyAssignments,MyStuff,MyProgress).
