What is DERMAP? DERMAP is an in-field and intensive (one-full day) training course about materials selection in a CRMs perspective. The course is addressed to designers, mechanical engineers and professionals involved in materials selection who want to deepen their knowledge about materials selection strategies with particular references to CRMs related issues. An on-line training tool was developed that allows to easily check ‘critical alloys’ and find substitutes and that is at disposal of DERMAP’s customers during the course. Both theoretical and practical lectures are proposed with description of case-studies for a better learning of the mitigating strategies used to face the CRMs related problems. The course is hold in selected companies working with critical raw materials and located in the most strategic European countries. Course Goals Participants will be able to detect materials at supply risk and take early mitigating action to ensure business continuity and reduce long-term costs of production. Upon successful completion, the costumer will reach the following goals: Knowledge and understanding of CRMs issues and possible mitigating strategies. Skill in selecting materials considering their possible criticalities. Judgment and sistematic approach to find solutions to CRMs related problems.

Course Goals

Participants will be able to detect materials at supply risk and take early mitigating action to ensure business continuity and reduce long-term costs of production. Upon successful completion, the costumer will reach the following goals:

• Knowledge and understanding of CRMs issues and possible mitigating strategies.

• Skill in selecting materials considering their possible criticalities. • Judgment and sistematic approach to find solutions to CRMs

related problems.
