What is Breast Augmentation?

Breast augmentation and breast mammoplasty are cosmetic procedures performed to increase the size or change the shape of a woman’s breasts.

● The surgical implantation procedure changes the look, feel, and dimension of the breast by using implants filled with either saline solution or silicone gel.

● The augmentation procedure may include the application of skin flaps taken from the patient’s body.

● Fat grafts can also be used to change the size and correct the shape and texture of the breasts.

Important Tips

● Choose a plastic surgeon who is a Board Certified with a breast fellowship and plenty of experience.

● Remember to ask about the surgeon’s surgical technique.

● Follow post-surgery instructions: massage as often as every two hours for up to four weeks.

● Avoid aspirin, calcium, and fish oil before surgery ● Be in a positive and healthy state of mind. How
