INTRODUCTIONThe Director, Jakob Schlötter
one week ago, we had a meeting in our especially for this cause constructed building and figured out that we were not quite sure yet, what we are going to present in 2011.
but then we luckily found a solution that everyone can be a friend of.
Various letters of rejection
Either friendly or brutal
This is the biggest project I did so far and my start for creating work for the academy. The 16 different posters were hanged all throughout the academy and were designed to fit in the buildings architecture nicely. On the day itself I planted 7 Infostations with interactive maps, the programme and general information.
Nieuwe Vragen / New Questions - Festival
2011 promotion for an academywide eventcorporate identity, 16 different posters, interactive map, hand-out map, folder, banners, nice typography & bombs
I did also all digital work, several banners, animated gifs, a mini-homepage and an interactive map for the info station, where you were able to get realtime information about the programme and speakers.
Because of the hugeness of the project, I will show you only an excerpt.
You want perfect health? Move in time and space like you wish? Overcome diseases and ugly bodyparts? Don’t worry, there will be nothing left of the pathetic “you“. Scientology fucks your brain and eats you up. Sorry for using these rude words, but it’s true.
Saproctology
Scientology loves to sue people, that’s one reason why their name is changed. The other is, that the new one just fits better!
Scientology is extremely weird, creepy and anxious.
So has to be my visual response.
Of course the name refers to scientology
Saprobia - nasty bacteria & funghi,decay, etc
Proctology - rectal sickness
scientology is a superweird brainfuck theater, and it has to be
For the undecided:a happiness test!And it’s free!

Sometimes the imagination was strong enough to be nearly self-convincing
In my pupertary age of 14, kurt cobain was chosen as a potential imaginary friend. But the feeling of a monologue never completely vanished
Imaginary Friends
2010 illustrations with tape
Since I was little, I always wanted to have an imaginary friend. but how life plays, I never got one
They’re to buy for 250€ each in my imaginary store.
the pips:lab blog is an interactive website installation. It enables users to blog very quickly and efficient through the use of a physical machine.
I made the graphical interface, and further graphic design attached to it, be it physical or digital.
it is exhibited this year at salone in milano.
The screen attached to the installation explains the function of the machine.
At a certain point, an animated hand points to the buttons. Unlikely most graphical animations, the hand does not stop at the end of the screen but reaches out of it.
This is not only a surprising effect, but also extremely enhances the explanation.
Pips:lab
2012 short glances into my internship at pips:lab in amsterdam
Pips:lab asked me to work for them next to my study.I am very very happy to be able to do that, also they encouraged me in my pursuit of going to Hong Kong.
Being a Graphic Designer, I couldn’t help myself but developing a typeface for them. Actually experiment has a pursuit: they asked me to redesign their logo .
And I am very proud of the blog I made during the 3 months
I was struggling about what i do & why i do it.
To discover this, i inter-viewed people which did interesting things in their private and/or professional lives and tried to find out their reasons and motivations
A tiny spider kisses the books’ spine
Every person i interviewed became his own background collage of things I photo-graphed before and thought would
What & Why
2011 book
To get to know more interesting people, i asked at the end from every interview for another person to interview. This way i hopped around the earth and got to know people i wouldn’t ever have met otherwise
