TRANSCRIPT

Suffering is usually described as a negative

basic feeling or emotion that involves a

subjective character of unpleasantness, harm,

or threat of harm.

Types of Suffering:

Poverty

Poverty is the state of human beings who

have little or no material means of

surviving ...

... That is, little or no food,

shelter, clothes, healthcare,

education, and other physical

means of living and improving

one's life.

Child Labour

Child labour is defined as work that deprives children of

their childhood, their potential and their dignity, and that is

harmful to physical and mental development.

It involves children being enslaved, separated from their

families, exposed to serious hazards and illnesses and/or left to

fend for themselves on the streets of large cities – often at a

very early age

1. Get rid of poverty

2. Give the jobs of child workers to their adult relatives This way, the family does not suffer,

and indeed should be better off, as adult wages are generally much higher than child wages.

3. Increase family incomes (this might help)

4. Family control of fertility - so that families are not burdened by children

5. Prioritise primary education It is no coincidence that the countries where child labour is

worst are those that spend least on primary education.

Terrorism

Terrorism refers only to those violent acts which are intended to create fear (terror) and are carried out for a

religious, political or, ideological goal.

The terrorists deliberately target or disregard the safety of non combatants (civilians).

1. Poverty

2. Unemployment

3. Lack of Education

4. Injustice

5. Corruption

It is simply leading to the destruction of the world !!!

Innocent people are being killed

1. Poverty alleviation:

reducing poverty can have a huge impact on reducing the level of terrorism as many

people will not fall in to the hands of terrorists.

2. Reduce Unemployment:

There is an acute need to create employment opportunities so that people should not tilt

towards negative activities and they could remain busy in their jobs.

3. End injustice

The gap between the rich and poor has caused people to move towards terrorism as they need shelter, food, cloth,

for their families and terrorist masterminds assure them that they will obtain these things. It is necessary to

end this injustice in our society so that we can stop terrorism.

4. End corruption

corruption should be stopped (bribery)

5. Provide free education

Lack of education generally forces the young generation to join the hands of anti-social elements. The

governments should open more and more schools for children, and education should be made available for

everyone as it is necessary to make the world safe from the current and future terrorism.

Famine

Famine is the scarcity of food caused by several factors

including crop failure, population unbalance, or

government policies.

This phenomenon is usually accompanied or followed

by regional malnutrition,starvation, epidemic, and

increased mortality.

1. Bring food into the famine area from regions where it is more available, and distribute it to the affected

people rapidly, efficiently, equitably, and in adequate quantity.

2. Maintain a balanced agriculture that is not dependent on one or two crops

3. Control or limit increases in population density.

4. Help farmers improve their farming methods and diversify.

5. Reduce urban crowding and poverty.

6. Maintain a store of food stuffs for use during drought or other upset situations.

Governments of each and every country should think about the points explained

and take necessary ACTIONS.

This can change the lives of many people!

We should also never lose hope and have faith that we will one day have a

World with a very low rate of poverty, famine and otherSufferings.
