Impact on the U.S. and other parts of the world…

After the Iranian revolution, relations between Iran and the U.S were stressed because the Iranian government was upset that the U.S. concealed the Shah. Also the U.S. was livid that Iranian hostiles held Americans against there will.

Relations were damaged harshly.
