Reptiles have dry, scaly skin.

They live in different habitats around the world.

A snake is a reptile.

Lizards are reptiles.

Turtles and tortoises are reptiles.

Alligators and crocodiles are reptiles, too.

Reptiles hatch from eggs.

Reptiles are cold-blooded.

They have to move into the sun to get warm or into the

shade to get cool.

Warming in the sun.

Cooling off in a tree.

Reptiles shed their skin to grow bigger.

Reptiles were the first creatures to live entirely on

land,

over 350 million years ago.

We call them…

DINOSAURS!

Dinosaurs were reptiles, too.
