With everywhere

covered in the white

stuff and the cold

weather looking like

it’s here to stay

we do all need a little

cheering up?

A glass of warm mulled

wine perhaps maybe

something hotter!

The 2Tone calendar is by all accounts

“RED HOT” How can you get your hands on one of these! well you could always phone

the Ry guy first thing in the morning around 7.30am (he he) is always good he’ll

like that ―a lot‖ or email us from our web site which is obviously the safest way of

getting a response

Another familiar sight over the festive season is

―D.J.Fuse-ion‖ Dave Harrol is beating it out inbe-

tween the 2Tone sets he will need plenty of sleep

to keep up with the boys work load did I say work

I meant fun load in other words

―Go on my Son‖

D.J. FUSE-ION

Page 3 e4 News Letter

"the coolest cats on the coast".

So it kicked off with a blast

November that is! At Sinatra’s

restaurant with another rat-pack

evening Carlo dishing out the

compliments to all the ladies

along with the food I couldn't

tell which was more in

abundance but that’s the Italians

for you!

The night went as expected by

the usual crowd who support

Sinatra's and the entertainers

Ryan, Dave and Vince who is

the third member of their

rat-pack.

Wine , song and dance and an

awful joke by the suave host

Carlo made for an excellent

evening.

‖Good job guys‖

Brocket Hall saw 2Tone in their Rat-pack guise at Mr Ken Whittaker’s father’s

birthday party this was not the first time and I’m sure not the last Ken has

booked these guys. Brocket Hall stood proud in its grounds overlooking the lake

but not as proud as Ken s father clearly was at his sons efforts for his birthday.

An elegant silver service meal followed by a small speech and a large glass of

humour from Ken put the evening on track for a sophisticated night of revelry.

The Rat-pack boys Ryan, Dave and Vince kicked off the night with some the

classics nice and easy, under my skin, king of the road with these timeless hits

the mood was set the dancing started and a truly fabulous night was had by all.

GOOD JOB EVERYONE

Page 4: What a Year

Page 4 e4 News Letter

Maxine’s Birthday Party Held at the Ramada Hotel in Hatfield in the banquet hall, was the perfect venue for Maxine’s birthday

bash, complete with Morris dancers, cake making and quiz. On the outset it was a quiz, with

Photographs, dressed across the tables and different pictures of all the guests and a bank of snap shots of

the lovely Maxine at different stages of her life growing up, no sorry! Because she may have got older, but

has most certainly not grown up! Anyway look at the pics guess her age throughout the years is what was

expected. Next came cake icing, I would like to say there were some good efforts and we will leave it

there. The Morris men and women came in, one with a lobster pot on his head that kind of resembled a

large birds head – ―don’t ask me why ―. But they did an outstanding job involving many of the party goers

who in fairness did a bloody good job at this type of dance. I was however relieved to see them not being

allowed to use the staffs, I’m sure we would have to rename them bats or something, if they had got hold of

them.

The Boys at The Felbridge Hotel in East Grinstead,

from the outset hitting the dance floor to a rapturous round of applause were immediately join by some of

the elegant ladies, who were attending this fabulous dinner dance evening. Arm in arm kicking their legs

high into the air clutching the arms of Ryan , Dave and Vince. This was infectious as the dance floor was

mobbed instantly where all the party goers were happy to stop for over 2 hours while the boys blasted out

hit after hit. What can you say except WOW!!!!

Well for those of you who came July started off at the Kubric festival in between

St Albans and Harpenden, with Ryan from 2Tone and Soulfish performing to

another sell out concert, the 10 piece soul band blasting out hit after hit

Renowned nationally and internationally as the band that delivers its classic

brand of high energy soul with total commitment to entertainment and

performance. Hits from James Brown, Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett,

Aretha Franklin and

Stevie Wonder to name but a few. Can’t wait for next year.

A Private birthday party early evening in Hemel Hempstead saw 2Tone perform a

one and a half hour set for Denis mum Sheila Dorer. They were a total surprise as

Sheila was kept totally in the dark! A quiet meal with family and a few friends is

what she was led to

believe. An evening with good weather meant the entertainment could go on out-

side as planned and what entertainment, the boys kicked it again, singing hits

from all decades along with requests, The party was over far too quick for Ryan

and Dave as another party loomed that evening but I know it would have contin-

ued into the early hours. Great start to August.

Well Amy & Ian’s Wedding at Bellows Mill was the start to the month, With the

whole event planned by E4Entertainment at such a picturesque venue was always

going to be a magical Wedding.

They arrived in style chauffeur driven in E4s Bentley and were greeted with a

Champagne reception, then photos and drinks with their guests next to the lake,

before sitting down to enjoy the wedding breakfast in the oak barn.

2Tone with their top female D.J Theresa Allen were on form bringing old and

new tunes out to the guests. The half time interval was a welcome break; the eve-

ning buffet (a hog roast) was being carved along with traditional apple sauce and

salad to everyone’s delight.

Theresa did what she does best, picks out tunes to keep the folks firmly on the

dance floor ready for 2Tones return, if I hadn’t of seen it I wouldn’t have thought

it possible to get everyone on to the dance floor but hey what do I know? Great

doo guys, well done E4

Credit Suisse uk Ltd took 2Tone to the Lansdowne Club Cabot Square London for their event and what a party it was. The

stylish perfect clean lines of the Lansdowne complemented the company Credit Suisse’s sharp image. A drinks reception with a

pianist playing in the background started the evening off well. After dinner there was a short but well delivered speech then

straight into the party , with a variety of songs in the flamboyant 2Tone style got things under way another great evening that

ended to quick. Looking forward to the next one?

PINNER HILL’S 30TH ANNERVERSARY BALL

And a fantastic ball it was! The first year for 2Tone to be asked to entertain

at the Pinner Hill Golf Clubs auspicious captains ball and the first year for a

total sell out. ―We think it’s because they’ve changed caterers‖ and nothing

to do with Henry the club captain or 2Tone? Never the less a sell out it was,

and for all those that attended they had no excuse not to have a good time,

and they clearly did. The stage was set up down one side of the marquee

facing away from the guests and although it shouldn't have worked that way

round it most definitely did.

2Tone started performing as the desserts were finished and were greeted

immediately with party people dancing they filled the dance floor all night

through all the genre’s of music from the 60s to present day tirelessly and

baying for more at the end of 2Tones set.

At one point earlier on in the evening the club captain was called up on

stage because of a comment made to 2Tone about being a Rod Stewart fan,

as the backing music for ―Maggie May‖ played ―Henry‖ was given a mic

the rest is history.

The D.J Dave from Flawless gave another stonking performance as he

continued where 2Tone left off,

CAPTAINS DAY At Moor Park Golf Club

Captains Day at Moor Park Golf Club Mr Pat Ruddy celebrated his captains’ party in real style

synonymous with the elegance of Moor Park. The guests arrived suited and booted, the ladies in

their fashionable attire.

The evening was flavoured with a champagne reception as guests arrived and then into the main

banquet hall for the evening meal. The chefs at the venue excelled turning out a dish after dish of

mouth watering food. The lads and I were treated to all the delights of the day and let me assure

you it was a true delight!

Rat-pack was the order of the day to start so dressed to impress with black ties etc the boys took to

the stage churning out the swing numbers to a delighted audience, one lady however asked if they

could do some Madonna, ―trust me their legs aren’t that good‖ with the first set complete Ryan and

Dave changed into their familiar 2 tone style of dress.

Kicking off the second set the only way they now how, fast and furious almost instantaneously

brought the dance floor to full capacity with a delighted crowd singing along to Tina Turner, Cello

Green, and other great tunes. ―Good Stuff Guys‖

The Lads started this started the month at the Thistle Hotel St

Albans, entertaining Mr &Mrs Dewing’s guests, who were

celebrating a mile stone anniversary. The party was a huge

success with the Ry guy not only joining in with Iranian dancing

but also making up new moves!

Now can you imagine him doing that?

The evening started late, as the guests tucked in to a

sumptuous cuisine, followed by speeches and the all important

thank you. 2 Tone hit the floor running and never stopped joined

by Vince from the rat pack the evening was always going to be a

blast.

I have to say having never had the privilege of being at a party

with Iranian music before, it was fabulous, so if you get the

chance go!

―What has Happened‖

Surely the Lads are not Starting Football?

And what a night glitz glamour and shed loads of awards. The ceremonies took

place at the ——— stadium (which stadium is it? Please email your answer) with all the pan

ash you would have expected, the stadium itself was fantastic but dressed appropriately

for an Oscar event it was stunning. A full lighting crew, camera crew, audio visual crew.

sound crew not mentioning all the stage and prop guys the place was buzzing before the

event took place. It just got better and better!

Best known as the organization behind the movie industry’s most prestigious honour, the

Oscar, the Academy encourages excellence through a range of coveted awards. While the

Oscar statuette – a symbol admired around the world – acknowledges the very highest

level of achievement, every form of Academy recognition, be it a certificate, plaque or

other form of trophy, carries significance like none other.

So, here we are. The Big Daddy of the awards season. The red carpet at the entrance

I am confronted with fashion in varying degrees coloured gowns in all shapes and sizes,

designer tuxes to die for, I might try to put one on expenses the lads probably won't allow

that, so I'll just whinge about it instead.

Course Not Just Another Party Night!

fashion to the delight of the guests. A

Banquet of a buffet came out to the likes

of which would not have been out of

place in any top class establishment, with

the gifts given out and more entertainment

from the boys an absolutely fantastic time

was had.

Sarah & Adam wedding

at the Grimm's Dyke Hotel Middx,

WEDDINGS STILL IN FULL FLOW 2 Tone had the honour of performing at

Sarah & Adams wedding at the Grims dyke Hotel,

Old Redding, near London a fantastic venue and an

amazing wedding. 2Tone kicked off the music with

swing as requested by the newlyweds and i must say it was a perfect choice, from the

moment Dave and Ryan started the dance floor filled. The DJ played in 2Tone’s break

Which allowed the guests to a well earned drink. The second set caught everyone by

surprise as the bride Sarah stepped up took the microphone and bravely and confi-

dently opened the evenings second set with ―I’m so excited‖ and believe me after that

so were her guests. The night flew by as 2Tone blasted out hit after hit to the delight of

the wedding party.”Great job Sarah great job Guys”

The Gatsby in Berkhamsted was the next stop for 2Tone

entertaining for Caroline Finlay, and what a

night! The guests arrived all looking fabulous

and were greeted with a champagne reception

the evening just blossomed into a magical night,

with speeches from Caroline's husband Dave

which was funny enough to be on the TV fol-

lowed by the sons joke made the lads job very

easy people were ready to party and believe me

they did. The end of the night as always came

round to fast. What a great night!!

Hosts another charity ball

And what a night, Ball gowns Tuxedos all round, glamorous people everywhere with the lavish looking tables laid out in perfect banquet style, the ballroom was a delight to the eyes of the guests. Champagne on arrival a few photos then in to dine. The evening moved on quickly through the auction and into the action with 2Tone hitting the stage and the floor almost simultaneously with immediate effect running through hit after hit the dance floor alive with people dancing, There was an almost electric feel in the room. The night seemed to end in seconds but ―Oh What a night " We were trying to figure out if the lady in blue was dancing or was passing on her drink in a relay to the lady on her left?.

Dunstable Golf Club

The Heart of a Great Party

The songs of the legendary Rat Pack performed by Rat Attack at Dunstable Golf Club

went down a storm, crooning away hit after hit, the room was in a vibrant mood with

revellers dancing into the hours. Having had a veritable feast the party goers played on

the gaming tables attempting to win a fortune to break the bank but alas I don't believe

anyone managed that.

The crowning glory was Bo-Jangles sung by Dave Mason and Danced by Ryan Chandler,

to say the it replicated Sammy Davis Jnrs moves would not be just it was far far better but

in a modern soft shoe style,

Great Job Guys

Luton Hoo saw the boys entertaining again at Lorraine and Marks wedding what can I say except WOW.

The Bride as you would have expected looked amazing and the groom was well styled is his tailored suit,

sharp as 2Tone would say. The elegance and splendour of Luton Hoo complimented their look. The

evenings entertainment started in the traditional 2Tone manor, a couple of swing numbers then building

pace rapidly. It wasn't long before the dance floor was alive with party goers

“probably trying burn off the champagne from earlier”

a superb evening was had by all. fab job guys

The Sun at Lemsford saw

2Tone strutting their stuff,

hosts Laura and Spanky

treated the boys with drinks

all night their generosity paid

off with the boys singing

requests late into the night a

fantastic venue with great

live entertainment this is one

to check out!

IT’S NONE STOP PARTYING

It was a lunchtime attack for the rats as Ratattack surprised Karen

Stevens husband for his 50th birthday bash at the Six Bells in

St. Albans. Great food ,cake and array of gifts what brilliant afternoon

was had by all ”there probably still partying”

Ratattack were at Sari Light’s place The Swan

in Iver with plenty of fizz ,great food and

hospitality in abundance this always had a

good night written all over it and no one was

disappointed. Entertainment is on every

weekend so if your at a loose end take a look !

2 Tone were entertaining Dena Glasgow’s

guests at the Thistle Hotel and what a

stonker wine, beer, champagne and danc-

ing 2Tone’s two hour sets flew past so fast

I’m sure the Thistle’s Marquee is still glow-

ing. The pace set by the boys first off was

electrifying with party goers leaving their

food to get on to the dance floor, and with

good reason, it was packed, jam packed hit

after hit Motown and Soul seemed promi-

nent Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, The

Temptations unbelievable what the boys

turn out is there no end to their repertoire?.
