we’ll experience a lively date market
where you will learn about the
region’s many varieties of dates. Early
this evening, visit the impressive

Mosque, a sprawling structure
initiated by the late president of the
UAE. Created in hopes of uniting the
cultural diversity of the Islamic world,
it’s a prominent place of worship. This
evening, join your fellow travelers for
a welcome dinner. (B, D)
Day 4: Monday, March 8, 2021 Abu Dhabi Learn the importance of falcons
to Arabian culture at the largest falcon
hospital in the UAE. Explore its
museum that takes you through the
history of falconry and take advantage
of this rare opportunity to see these
majestic birds up close. Step into the
examination room to perhaps witness
a falcon checkup or a pedicure. You
might even have a falcon sit on your
arm! Next, travel to Masdar City, a
sustainable eco-community relying on
solar power and renewable energy.

this “oasis town” was the perfect
stopover on the caravan trail between
the UAE to the Sultanate of Oman.

unique irrigation system – known as
Falaj. Continue on to Al Ain Palace
Museum, built in 1937 and once the

beautiful coasts and magnificent man-
made wonders. (B, L)

yours. Will you sail on a dhow
(traditional boat) along the Dubai
Creek? Or, travel to Dubai Marina,
one of the “newest” sections of Dubai,
by metro where you can enjoy a
leisurely walk along the water?
Following your walk, set out for Palm
Jumeirah, one of Dubai’s many man-
made islands. This evening, enjoy a
desert dinner with traditional Arabic
cuisine and traditional dances. (B, D)
Day 7: Thursday, March 11, 2021 Dubai We start our day with a visit to
the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for
Cultural Understanding, located in the
oldest traditional Emirati
neighborhood, Bur Dubai. Walk
among the neighborhood’s narrow
sikkas (alleyways) and gaze at the
beautiful wind towers that adorn the
original residences along Dubai
Creek. Visit the Dubai Museum and
textile market before taking a ride
across the dazzling Dubai Creek in a
private “abra” (traditional water taxi).
Witness the bustling waterfront as you
pass by. Enjoy a walk through the
famous gold souk where you learn

Experience It! Abu Dhabi Ancient civilization or modern metropolis? The people of Abu Dhabi (capital of
the United Arab Emirates) live in an ultramodern, technologically advanced city,
but beneath the sky-high buildings and glitzy attractions beats the heart of a
nomadic people. Even though Abu Dhabi has changed a lot since the days of its
first inhabitants, the culture is still strongly embedded within ancient traditions.
From the Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Mosque to the fascinating falcon
hospital, this is a place that offers up one-of-a-kind experiences around every
corner.
