EMERGENCY SERVICESFull emergency services are present at the festival. Please visit the Welfare Area on site and make a note of the on-site emergency numbers to use these numbers will ensure that services from outside are not tied up.

SAFETY• If you don’t need it, don’t bring it.

• Leave valuables at home.

• Keep money and bank cards with you at all times.

• Lock your vehicle and don’t leave valuables visible.

• Look after your mobile phone. Pickpockets may operate especially in dense areas, be vigilant.

• Use pockets or a bag that cannot be tampered with and that goods are not going to fall out of.

• Get to know your neighbours in the campsites, create a community spirit.

• Mark your property with your postcode (but not your keys).

• Make a note of your IMEI code from your phone so you can contact your service provider to immobilise your phone.

If you know or suspect somebody of coming toV Festival to commit a crime you can contact the Police or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 0800 555111. If you see anybody acting suspiciously please alert a steward, the police or festival staff.

LOST PROPERTYPlease hand anything found in at the Welfare Tent, please check with them before reporting something you suspect may have been stolen. Anything not claimed from the Welfare Tent or found in the clean-up will be taken to V Festival Lost Property, Wolverhampton Civic Hall, North Street, Wolverhampton, WV1 1RQ or visit vfestival.com for the lost property email address. Use the onsite Lockerhouse to secure your belongings or use the left luggage facility at the Welfare Tent. To book a locker in advance, visit lockerhouse.co.uk.

RUBBISH & RECYCLING Please use the bins and recycling points and areas provided, this all goes a long way to helping with the clear up of Weston Park and is great for the environment. Please take your tents and camping equipment home with you, the best way to recycle it is to reuse it. We do have some charitable organisations that will take some tents however they cannot take all the tents away and most will unfortunately end up in land fill unless you help us.

UNOFFICIAL CAMPSITES/CAR PARKS. We strongly advise that for your own safety you do not camp or park in unofficial campsites and car parks outside of the festival site.

WELFARELook after yourself and those around you. If you need to take medication remember to bring it with you and let your friends know what you take and where to find it. Welfare staff will be on duty 24hrs to offer assistance whilst the festival is operating. There are also Samaritans who can listen to you in confidence.

STAGESAny indoor stage/marquee has a set capacity that cannot be exceeded. If you wish to see a specific artist you are advised to get there early and admittance cannot be guaranteed. Once a marquee reaches its capacity it will be closed and not reopened until that artist has finished even if people are exiting during the performance.

DISABLED CUSTOMERSThere is a separate campsite, car park and viewing platforms if you are registered disabled. If you booked via seetickets.com you will receive a disabled info pack containing detailed information. If you are registered disabled and booked via another official ticket outlet please email [email protected] your name and address.

WHAT TO BRINGClothing for all weather conditions, you can use the Packing List on vfestival.com for ideas.

FOOD & DRINKThere is a large selection of food stalls offering a variety of dishes. You will also find the Gourmet Garden and V Healthy in the arena. There are bars serving alcohol during licensed hours to over 18’s only. Bars operate on a token system, tokens are purchased from a token booth then exchanged at the bar for drinks. Some token booths will remain open after 11pm for refunds. V Festival operates the Challenge 25 policy. Please don’t be offended if you are asked for proof of ID and please bring ID with you. Do not purchase alcohol for under 18’s as you risk being ejected from the festival. Take your empty festival cups to the Cash It Don’t Trash it recycling points and get 10p back on each cup.

GLASS BOTTLE EXCHANGEGlass is not permitted on site, we would hate to confiscate your newly purchased drinks in bottles. If you do have glass you can tip the contents into a new plastic bottle for £1 of which all proceeds goes Village Water. You get to keep your contents and your glass bottle will be recycled.

EVERY CAN COUNTSWill be at V Festival recycling all of the cans you give them. Pay them a visit with your empty cans, play games and win prizes.

SHOWERSLocated in both orange and blue campsites. Help us keep them clean and bring a towel and flip flops.

SMOKINGThere are areas inside the festival that are dedicated non-smoking areas. Please adhere to the signage in these areas or you may risk a fine by local authority enforcement officers.

TOILETSPlease use the toilets and urinals provided. It is in our nature to join the back of the queue, we don’t want people to queue jump but don’t be afraid to ask people to check the doors or check them yourself before joining a queue at the toilets. Please keep the toilets clean, they are cleaned and emptied throughout the weekend but we need your help too. Do not use the surrounding park and woodland or you risk being ejected from the festival.

Not only do we bring you legendary headliners on the Virgin Media Stage and the biggest mix of music at Undercover, but we’ve got loads more up our sleeves to make V Festival 2011 the best one yet. Here’s what we’ve got in store for you…

Our House Forget chilling out in your tent between bands. Our House, in association with Nokia, is the ultimate party at V Festival and missing out is not an option. We’ll have special guest DJs on the decks, mindblowing music, drinks flowing, laptops to play with and flat screen TVs to collapse in front of. You’ll never want to leave.

Our GardenThis one’s just for Virgin Media customers, the luckybeggars. It’s a garden, but not just any old garden. You can relax, rewind and take a break from the festival madness with a bit of VIP treatment. We’re talking posh loos, free massages and makeovers, hair stylists, a cash bar and more.

Virgin Media AngelsWe don’t call them Angels for nothing. They’ll be there with their wheelbarrows when you arrive, ready to lug your beers and backpacks to the campsite and pitch your tent in the choicest spot (not too close to the loos, not too far from the bar). For the rest of the festival, they’ll be your walking, talking programmes, so ask them for info and even freebies.

The Big ChargersYour phone’s died, you’ve lost your mates and you’re getting Facebook withdrawal symptoms. What do you do? Just head to The Big Chargers. You can charge up your phone for free, get back in touch with the outside world with our free wi-fi, and tell your mates to meet you there.

The V Festival AppLet’s face it – memorising the line up isn’t easy when you’re in festival mode. Same goes for where your tent is and when the last train home leaves. That’s why you’ll need the free V Festival app powered by Nokia. It’s got a line up schedule, tent finder and interactive map, plus you can check the weather and travel info, and make your mates jealous with updates on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Visit www.vfestival.com

Text the festGot something to say? Get it on the big screen.Text your message or photo to 80310 (Stafford) or 80995 (Chelmsford). If we like it, we’ll put it up beside the Virgin Media Stage for 80,000 people to see.
