3rd March 2017 Westfield Newsflash Driving Learning Forward Together WESTFIELD GARDEN DEVELOPMENTS During the half-term holiday on a cold, wet and windy day a small group of Barclays Bank volunteers came to Wesield to help overhaul our garden area. We are all pleased with our colourful and excing garden area and each area are busy coming up with design plans for their very own flowerbed. Thank you to the Friends of Wesield for their donaons towards improving our garden and Mrs Gower and Barclays Bank for all their hard work to improve our garden for everyone to enjoy. FITNESS FUN! In February half of the school enjoyed parcipang in our very first Bollywood Dance Day. All of the teachers and pupils enjoyed their workshop sessions and per- forming their dance to the rest of the academy at the end of the day. We are now looking forward to a Skateboarding Dayin a few weeks me for the other half of the academy. Look out for photos and informaon on the Wesield App. On Thursday everyone celebrated World Book Day by coming to Wesield dressed up as book character we saw a wide range of characters from Mary Poppins to Alice in Wonderland to Harry Poer. All the classes took part in a range of acvies including a Poetry Compeon’. Mrs Poynter our Chair of Governors was wowedby the fantasc poems performed. The winning classes were: GREEN RT BLUE 2W PURPLE 4M GOLD 6B CHORAL SPEAKING This term we have introduced our brand new App. Lots of families are already using the app, dont miss out on keeping up to date with news, events and informaon. WESTFIELD GARDEN DEVELOPMENTS

During the half-term holiday on a cold, wet and windy day a small group of Barclays Bank volunteers came to Westfield to help overhaul our garden area. We are all
