The orange lines are the proposed Rozelle to Lane Cove tunnel to the north and the proposed F6 (M6) to Loſtus in the south. Exit ramps, which expel the heaviest pollung parcles, will occur at intervals of approximately 3.5 kilometres. The locaon of the pollung vents or smoke stacks with a pollung radius of between 1–2 kilometres will be determined by the contractors, based on cheapest cost and usually sited in parks and on hills. There would be a minimum of 5 smoke stacks, one in Bexley, one in Wolli Creek Valley Park, one in O’Dea Reserve or Camperdown Park, one in Lilyfield/Haberfield and one in Five Dock.

The two independent reports into the proposed $15.6 billion, 33 kilometre WestConnex City of Sydneys Strategic Review of the WestConnex Proposal (Feb 2015) and the Auditor Generals WestConnex: Assurance to Government (Dec 2014) both express serious concerns about the ability of the WestConnex tollway system to achieve its stated aims or meet Sydneys transport challenges. There will be no safe level of pollution from the exhaust stacks across the Inner West, and Governments own reports show Parramatta Road will get more traffic once tolls are reintroduced. It is residents of western Sydney who are most likely to be short-changed, with toll and parking costs of up to $48 predicted for a single trip. Thats $240 per week for a commuter who has no reliable access to public transport alternatives (City of Sydneys report). And then there are the tolls. Someone who currently drives from Penrith to the airport for free, using WestConnex, will pay $9 each way. Similarly, someone who currently drives from Campbelltown to the city and pays the $4.41 M5 toll, when WestConnex is built, will be paying about $10 a trip (Sydney Morning Herald 14/3/15).
