KATIE HASSETT - Dolly Gallagher Levi Katie makes her third'appearance with WVLO; you will remember her as "Marne" just threeseasons ago and as Agnes in "I Do! I Do!" several seasons back. She isnot only a wonderful performer, but also a talented director and many ofher credits, acting and directing, have been on this stage. "DamnYankees", "She Loves Me", "Kismet", "Most Happy Fella", "Cole" and"On The Twentieth Century" are just a few of the productions she hasdirected. Her most recent performance was as Carlotta in "Follies" forSDG. She says the highlight of her career was marryingFred and with all their traveling, we can understand why. She has a newbusiness, "Mystery By Design", which are mystery presentations forprivate parties and organizations. Very interesting business Katie!Wonder what she does in her spare time!!!

DOUG BAIRD - Horace Vandergelder Returning to our stage after hisaward-winning performance as Madam Lucy in last seasons "Irene", Dougbrings a new dimension to Vandergelder. A kindergarten teacher by day,Doug likes to escape to the adult theatrical world at nightl And in the last23years, he has found many local productioris to do just that. His portrayal ofColonel Pickering in "My Fair Lady" was just one of those memorableperformances. He has appeared with SJCLO in "Evita" and "Barnum" andin "Cinderella" and "Funny Thing Happened On The WayTo The Forum"forSDG, just ot mention a few. He isthe recipientofthreeGinny Awards and isa three-time winner of the Gypsy Robe and last month added his ERMAAward from WVLO for Best Actor in "Irene". What a great talent this manshares with our communityl

HEIDI CASPER - Irene Molloy Heidi makes her debut with WVLO in therole of Irene Molloy and we hope we will see more of her in the nearfuture. Welcome, Heidi, and please stick to singing for awhile, those other sports are dangerous for a lovely singer/dancer like you!

BILL HEISER - Cornelius Hackl A native of San Jose (a rarity)and the Bth of10 children (an even rarer attribute). Bill was last seen in WVLO's "Irene" inwhich he performed as the understudy for Donald and did an outstandingjob, He is no stranger to theater, having begun in 1967 at a very early age, playing Hansel in "Hansel & Gretel" for a children's theatrical group until1975 when he started high school at Bellarrnine. He just completed"Follies" with SDG and we are delighted to have him back, Bill is anApplications Engineer for Daisy MicroSystems and nowwe understand howhe can 'apply' himself so readily to each rolel

THE DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE

"HELLO, DOLLY''', starring Carol Channing, opened at the St. James Theatre in NewYork on January 16, 1964. It is a delightful Jerry Herman musical based on ThorntonWilder's, 'THE MATCHMAKER", which was produced at the Royal Lyceum Theatre,Edinburg on August 23, 1954. This play opened in the United States on October 27-1955, and starred Ruth Gordon as Dolly and Robert Morse as Barnaby. 'TheMatchmaker" is a rewritten version of "The Merchant. of Yonkers", produced in 1938and is also based on Johann Nestroy's comedy, "Einen Jux Will Es Sich Machen",produced in Vienna in 1842, which was in turn based upon an English original by JohnOxenford, "A Day Well Spent", produced in London in 1935.

We have given "Hello, Dolly!" a 'a new coat of paint' with an exciting set concept andhope that you will sit back and enjoy our interpretation of the adventures of DollyGallagher Levi and friends!
