The Surf Life saving movement is a part of Australian history - the fabric and the future of this country, it epitomises the lifestyle, values and beliefs of our culture. It protects life, it saves life. It promotes life.

Surf Life saving creates a safe environment on and off our beaches, through patrols, training programs and education.

Surf Life Saving is an active part of Australian local communities. It is in its own right a place to belong, a place to grow and be safe. It provides mateship, education, experience, fitness and fun. Surf Life Saving gives back to the community and remains the largest volunteer movement of its kind in the world.

West Beach Surf Life Saving Club is dedicated to providing a service to the people of its community and to all others that use the beach. We have been providing volunteer surf life saving patrols since 1956 and proudly affiliate with Surf Life Saving Australia. Our life savers set up a patrol base in front of the club every weekend and public holiday from October through to April and give the public a recognisable place to find first aid, beach information and a safe place to swim.

We aim to achieve this through “Our Vision” of working effectively with the community and Governments to provide safer beaches and aquatic environments for South Australia. Surf Life Saving remains the key agency for beach safety and as a vital community service plays a fundamental role in building healthy communities, in addressing community issues and government policies such as obesity, physical activity, youth development, safer communities, training and education and family.

SPECIAL EVENT NAMING SPONSOR $2,000

Breast Cancer Swim Nipperthon Qualifying carnivals Special Events held at West Beach are critical to encouraging more members to our beach. In 2013 we had two very successful special events - the “Junior Nipperthon” an endurance event which saw over 600 people at West Beach and our inaugural Breast Cancer Pink Swim, which attracted some 100 swimmers, raising almost $1000. We are hoping to grow these events in 2014 and this winter we have IRB racing coming to West Beach. An IRB (Inflatable Rescue Boat) is an essential part of equipment for Surf Life Saving Clubs around Australia. It enables surf lifesavers to perform rescues and provide much needed first aid services quickly and efficiently for a victim. In addition, it is the most effective way to search for a victim who may have been swept along the beach in areas not patrolled by our surf lifesavers. An IRB also allows lifesavers to perform preventative actions along the beach that avoid potential water incidents. Junior Age Group TEAR DROP FLAGS - 7 REQUIRED $1,500

Within the junior division the younger members are divided into age groups from Under 5 up to Under 14. Each age group has a tear drop banner to allow more visible meeting points. All banners and signage in reference to that age group will be printed with your name and logo.

Your sponsorship will help fund the costs of trophies, medallions, certificates and any miscellaneous items that your chosen age group may require throughout the season.

Balcony or Pergola Sponsorship $1,500 Balcony balustrade beach exposure or pergola signage. 700 x 700 panel placed on either the balcony or the pergola. Have your company name seen by all beach users and all road traffic that passes by!

Sponsorship Agreement

This agreement is made between

West Beach Surf Life Saving Club ("The Club")

TERMS OF AGREEMENT:

1. The Club agrees to grant the Sponsor the following sponsorship rights:

2. It is agreed that at the time of renegotiation, the club will automatically invite the

sponsor to renegotiate the agreement.

3. The sponsor agrees to provide: (List all the provisions of the sponsor.)

4. It is agreed that all matters relating to the administration of the sponsorship shall remain the exclusive responsibility of the Club.

5. It is agreed that the Sponsor will be granted first option to renew sponsorship of the Club at a cost to be agreed. The Sponsor will give their decision on such renewal not less than three months before the end of the season.

6. In the event of the cancellation of the sponsorship for whatever reason, this

Agreement shall be null and void. The Club shall forthwith return to the Sponsor the balance of the sum referred to in clause 3 and paid to the Club together with full accounting of the monies expended from the said sum.

7. The Club agrees to abide by the sponsorship document and provide the agreed

publicity and advertising for the Vendor, using the web site www.westbeachslsc.com.au, the club newsletter, the sponsorship board and the sponsor booklet during the period of the agreement stated above
