There’s an increase of anti-social behaviour (ASB) on the Adswood Estate in general.

Stockport Homes worked closely with a dedicated Police Officer who has been assigned to Adswood and throughout the summer successfully obtained several Acceptable Behaviour Contracts (ABCs). An ASB Order was also obtained through legal action against an individual on the estate in June 2011. This intensive work continues to bring about improvements in the area.

There are untidy gardens on Astbury Crescent, Wrenbury Crescent, Neston Grove, Culver Road, Rostherne Road and Arnfield Road.

Garden inspections were undertaken during August 2011 and residents were encouraged to attend garden clearances and tidy-ups. This led to improvements in the appearance of front gardens on those particular streets. At the end of August 2011 skips were provided for residents to help them clear their gardens.

There is ASB on Culver Road. Stockport Homes worked in partnership with Greater Manchester Police, and in July 2011 were successful in obtaining a Closure Order on the property with which the ASB was associated. The property was closed down and the tenant had to vacate the property.

Request for recycling facilities at Siddington Avenue.

A bid for Neighbourhood Budget funding was approved at the area forum in June 2011 to enable the provision of two communal recycling sites for residents at Siddington Avenue flats, Bridgehall. This work is due to be completed by April 2012.

Shrub beds at the corner of Wrenbury Crescent, Alvanley Crescent and Rainow Road need improving.

A project to improve these areas was approved at the area forums in March and the work will be completed by April 2012.

Garages at Handley Close are unsightly and need improving.

The garages were refurbished with new doors and fascias. Completed May 2011.

There is a lack of recycling facilities at Adswood Terrace.

Recycling facilities will be provided by March 2012.

On-going issues of fly tipping at Barnfield Road West compound.

We secured the site with robust locks and heightened the fence to secure the site.
