A WORD FROM THE WERTZ’S SPRING 2015 I love this me of year! I love to feel the temperature creep up, and I love to see new plants begin to emerge. As I look out my office window, I’m thinking about the word “new.” “We were buried therefore with him by bapsm into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.” Romans 6:4 What a perfect verse to think about as we have just celebrated Resurrecon Day! Just as Jesus was raised from the dead into new life, we are to walk in “newness of life!” Here are some NEW things our family has recently been able to experience: A NEW home. We purchased a house in the Paxtang borough of Harrisburg at the end of January. We have enjoyed geng to know our new neighborhood. We live within walking distance of the Capital Area Greenbelt, a 20 mile walking loop around Harrisburg. Since the weather has goen warmer, we’ve explored 5.5 miles of the trail! NEW people. It has been a great adventure geng to know the pastors and leaders from the 26 churches that we’re working with in PA, MD, and WV. We are making a deliberate effort, as we meet with each church, to find out specifically how we can help them reach their goals and encourage them. NEW events. Just last month we helped run the new Word of Life event, Engage. Engage is the next generaon of Teens Involved, an event that helped thousands of students discover their giſts and abilies. Engage seeks to build on the strengths of Teens Involved, with an added focus on teamwork and student leadership. This fall, I (Jordan) will be the coordinator for the Philly Reverb (successor to Super Bowl). This is a huge task, but I am excited to do all I can to lead an effecve evangelisc event for students from all over the Mid-Atlanc! A WORD FROM THE WERTZ’S

SPRING 2015

I love this time of year! I love to feel the temperature creep up, and I love to see new plants begin to emerge. As I

look out my office window, I’m thinking about the word “new.”

“We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the

dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.” Romans 6:4

What a perfect verse to think about as we have just celebrated Resurrection Day! Just as Jesus was raised from the

dead into new life, we are to walk in “newness of life!”

Here are some NEW things our family has recently been able to experience:

A NEW home. We purchased a house in the Paxtang borough of Harrisburg at the end of January. We have

enjoyed getting to know our new neighborhood. We live within walking distance of the Capital Area Greenbelt, a

20 mile walking loop around Harrisburg. Since the weather has gotten warmer, we’ve explored 5.5 miles of the

trail!

NEW people. It has been a great adventure getting to know the pastors and leaders from the 26 churches that

we’re working with in PA, MD, and WV. We are making a deliberate

effort, as we meet with each church, to find out specifically how we

can help them reach their goals and encourage them.

NEW events. Just last month we helped run the new Word of Life

event, Engage. Engage is the next generation of Teens Involved, an

event that helped thousands of students discover their gifts and

abilities. Engage seeks to build on the strengths of Teens Involved,

with an added focus on teamwork and student leadership. This fall,

I (Jordan) will be the coordinator for the Philly Reverb (successor to

Super Bowl). This is a huge task, but I am excited to do all I can to

lead an effective evangelistic event for students from all over the
