a team of LEED® Accredited Professionals focused on green

building solutions — integrated into an architecture firm of 130.

We consult on projects in-house and provide green building services

for outside project teams. We help create spaces that are more efficient,

less expensive to maintain, more marketable, and more productive,

adding value to your property.

We’re Kirksey EcoServices —

“ Kirksey has a strong understanding

of sustainability, introducing new

technology and building techniques

as they become practical and

economically viable.” – Jerry Lea, Hines

Horizon Wind Energy — First LEED for Commercial Interiors in Houston, Silver Certified

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the benchmark for green

buildings and has become an internationally-recognized brand. LEED Certification

guarantees a measurable and marketable building product that is

verified by a third party.

Clients are asking for it.

Lending groups and insurance companies are offering favorable rates for it.

Private boards and public entities are requiring it.

LEED Certification is proof that your project meets green building standards.

Why Certify?

Kirksey dominates the regional green building market with over

22,000,000 square feet of LEED projects in our portfolio.

LEED Documentation for New ConstructionWe have 13 projects certified by the U.S. Green Building Council and are currently engaged in

52 additional projects spanning 6 LEED rating systems. Kirksey’s depth of experience

allows us to target the LEED points that make the most sense for our clients’ goals and budgets.

As a result, our team has consistently delivered the LEED rating our clients expect — or a

higher one.

facility managers and building vendors

to make the process as simple as

possible, generating measurable results.

LEED for Existing BuildingsThese days, everyone — corporations, tenants, patients, staff, faculty,

students, guests — is asking questions about green building. LEED

for Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance, known as LEED

EBOM, is a good option for Existing Buildings to compete in the green marketplace. LEED EBOM provides goals and

guidelines to green a building’s energy use, water use, purchasing

practices, waste stream, interior and exterior maintenance, and more.

Green Benchmarking

If you can’t measure it, you can’t manage it. When every dollar counts, smart decisions about

energy, water, waste, and purchasing are more critical then ever. Some benchmarking values equate to dollars and

cents, while others equate to intangibles, such as employee workplace satisfaction. The ability to quantify these

attributes is critical to establishing your green credibility and to managing your resources effectively.

LEED Training

Kirksey realizes the importance of collaboration. In order to achieve truly green projects, the

EcoServices Team has developed a rigorous training program to educate our project team members — contractors,

developers, architects, engineers, and others — about LEED and the LEED accreditation exam.

With sessions certified by the Texas Real Estate Commission and the American Institute of Architects, Kirksey has

educated 1,000+ industry professionals and has also brought classes directly to many companies.

Kirksey uses advanced software to predict

building performance and help you make smart building decisions. We use energy and

daylight models to study daylighting, shading,

lighting technologies, building envelope systems,

and HVAC systems. This allows us to optimize a

building’s performance within your budget and

return on investment schedule — before it is too

late to make critical decisions.

Sustainability ResearchBuilding green requires a deep understanding of climate and microclimate and sometimes

involves new or unfamiliar technologies. Understanding these complexities with a foundation

of impartial research can give your project a competitive advantage. The Kirksey

team can find the answers you need with research and analysis tools.
