Good Friday—7pm Service
Easter Sunday - “Resurrection”
April 12th will begin a new series,
“That’s Not Right.” In which we will
look at many of the different things that
we do and try to justify before God and
others.
Welcome!
I am very thankful to
have you with us. If you
are a first time guest to
Bethany, please stop by
the Welcome Center,
and give us the
opportunity to meet
you! For information on
any of Bethany’s
ministries, pick up a
flyer at the Welcome
Center or see Bethany’s
web page. Please join
us again to discover the
difference God can
make in your life.
Pastor Mark Reynolds
Start you own small group! Beginning Easter Sunday with A.D.!
A.D. will pick up where the smash hit, “The
Bible” left off. This powerful 12-week series
begins on NBC with the crucifixion and tells the
story of the first 10 chapters of the book of Acts.
Watch as the disciples struggle to survive and share their beliefs, guiding us from
the sorrow of Christ's ultimate sacrifice to the awe-inspiring wonder of the
Resurrection and beyond.
Many viewers will want to learn more about these powerful stories and the faith
of the early believers. Plan now to invite your family, friends and neighbors to
watch along and even launch a study group based on the series and examine the
scriptures together.
National Day of Prayer May 7th @ Noon

Becoming a Member New Member Class begins
Membership does matter. Jesus lived and died
for the church (Eph. 5:25). As a believer in Christ,
you are a member of the spiritual church. In Christ,
you are called to become a part of His body as a
member of a local church. If you are a Christian
and you are not a member of a church, then we
encourage you to connect with a church as soon
as possible. Don’t take this lightly. Your
membership with a church is beneficial and
necessary (1 Cor. 12:4–31).
For those interested in membership or who
would like to know more about it, there course is 4
week class that will being April 12th.
Please sign up at the Welcome Center or call
the church office if interested.
Quarterly Business Meeting April 26th after the 6pm evening
service. Members, please plan to be
there.
Baby Dedication May 10th @ 11am
Baby Dedication is a
ceremony in which believing
parents, and sometimes entire
families, make a commitment
before the Lord to dedicate a
child to God's will and to raise
that child according to God's
Word and God's ways.
If the Lord is leading you to
dedicate your child, please
contact the church office.
There will be a baby dedication
on Mother’s Day, May 10th.

information please contact Pastor Mike or Kathy
Tucker. Everyone who wants to assist in this quest

YOUTH NEWS
Souled Out Continues Youth Alpha Film Series
Wednesday Nights in March at 7pm
One of the first things that kids learn is the ALPHAbet. The
word ALPHA is the first letter in the Greek alphabet. It implies
the beginning of something. That’s why we’re continuing a
series of short films called Alpha. Throughout April, we’ll be
discovering how we can have a full life and what God gives us
to accomplish that; we’ll dive into how we can resist making
bad choices and what being a part of a church is really all
about. We’ll leave plenty of room for discussion surrounding
these big questions each week at Souled Out. Don’t miss a single week of getting together with other JR
& SR HI students to have a great time getting to know each other and God better in the process.
Souled Out Summer Sneak Peek
I know it may still be cold outside, but summer will be here
before you know it. And the summer of 2015 could be the
best one yet! Especially if you get plugged in to what’s
happening for our JR & SR HI students. SR HI & College Age
students get to kick off the summer at the Alive Festival in
Mineral City, OH. This five day music festival features some of
the best artists in Christian music, like Skillet, Tobymac,
Needtobreathe, Lecrae, Tenth Avenue North, For King & Country, Jeremy Camp, Kari Jobe, Colton Dixon,
the Passion Worship Band, Meredith Andrews, Love & The Outcome, and
many more. You’ll be camping in tents, making your own food, swimming in
the park’s lake, and kicking off your summer right! For current sixth and
seventh grade students, the summer starts off with Five Day Frenzy, a week
long crazy adventure that runs alongside Kids
Camp from June 22-25. 8th grade students
and up are encouraged to volunteer for Kids
Camp and be a part of making this a great
week for the children who come. And that’s
just June! Next month, you’ll get to hear more
about the rest of the summer. For now, if you have any questions, see
Pastor Mike or email him at [email protected].

Souled Out Online If you are looking for information about Souled Out and the
events that we are doing, you’ve got two great sources: Face-
book and the church’s website. While there may be several
down sides to Facebook, one of the good things about it is
that it allows us to quickly get detailed information out to eve-
ryone about upcoming events. That same information will al-
ways be placed on our church website as well for those of
you who do not have Facebook accounts. The Facebook ad-
dress is www.facebook.com/SouledOutBBC and the website
address is connect2bethany.org/#/connectbethany/teens

Most students have
earned points through the
Campers Fund to help off-set the cost.

SPOTLIGHT ON MISSIONS
Missionary of the week April 2015 April 5th Dan Feryance, Dan and his late wife, Ida Feryance planted churches in Slovakia
beginning in 1946. Later they continued their work in France. After retirement, Dan made
numerous trips to Slovakia to encourage and mentor the church there. He also
communicated with individuals in both countries via email. Currently, Dan is on hospice. He is
Fred Sochor’s brother-in-law.
April 12th Rick & Christy Gascho live and serve in Prague, Czechoslovakia with Frontiers Mission. Their ministry
includes church planting, evangelism, and discipleship. They are both missionary kids, as their parents
were missionaries. Rick is the eldest son of our missionaries Dick & Vicki Gascho. Rick and Christy have
two sons and two daughters ranging in age from ten to eighteen.
April 19th David & MaryAnn Brooks are homegrown missionaries, having served in many capacities at Bethany
before their call to the missions field. Their ministry has centered on the education of missionary children,
allowing many missionaries to remain on foreign fields. Now retired, they continue to assist missionary
families with their children’s education. The Brooks have two grown sons.
April 26th Ben & Elizabeth Hagerup Ben grew up in Ghana, West Africa, the son of former Bethany missionaries,
Mark and Amy Hagerup. Currently he and his wife, Elizabeth are involved in campus ministries in
Pennsylvania with DiscipleMakers. Elizabeth home-schools their seven children.
The goals of Bethany’s Missions Committee...to equip and enable members and friends of Bethany to be personally involved in obeying the
Great Commission...to provide a support system for our missions families who are following the Lord in reaching out into the world.

Men’s Ministry GROW TOGETHER
In GROW TOGETHER, Dr. Jeff Myers explores the groundbreaking yet
timeless message about the world-changing power of a “mentoring
mindset.” As older Christians bless the young with life-long
wisdom, they too are blessed by the energy and fresh
perspective that youth brings to life and faith.
Something special happens when God’s people come
together in a church — teens, young adults, adults, seniors —
and do life together. GROW TOGETHER ignites powerful
spiritual growth through engaging multi-generational unity within the church, helping one
another answer the three basic questions of life.

UPCOMING EVENTS
PrimeTimers Corner Thursday April 16th @11am
Join us at 10:30 AM on Thursday, April 16th at the Lorenzo
Cultural Center as we examine what made the Michigan of today.
From God’s majesty that created the state’s geography, to the forces of
personality that molded its persona. We’ll explore how the character of
Michigan was shaped, through exhibits, presentation, and activities.
At 11:00 AM we’ll listen to a presentation by Joel Stone, senior curator at
the Detroit Historical Society, as he recounts the histories of heroes and
geniuses, teachers and merchants, drunks and scoundrels, who had a
lasting impact on our state, but have been swept into the historical dust bin.
Following Mr. Stones presentation, we’ll have another 30 to 45 minutes to
check out the exhibits before heading over to Logan’s Roadhouse for lunch
at 1:00 PM. Logan’s is located at 14235 Hall Rd in Shelby Twp (north side
of Hall between Hayes and Schoenherr).
Those needing a ride should be to the church in time for a 10:00 am
departure. We should return to the church by 3:00. Sign up at the Welcome
Center. Take note that this is on a Thursday this month and a little earlier in the month than usual.
Coming May 18th -22nd
