CSHP’s Mission / Mission de la SCPH

The Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists (CSHP) is the national voluntary organization of pharmacists committed to patient care through the advancement of safe, effective medication use in hospitals and other collaborative healthcare settings.

CSHP supports its members through advocacy, education, information sharing, promotion of best practices, facilitation of research and recognition of excellence.

La Société canadienne des pharmaciens d’hôpitaux (SCPH) est l’organisation nationale à adhésion volontaire de pharmaciens qui se consacrent aux soins des patients en favorisant l’avancement de l’utilisation sécuritaire et efficace des médicaments dans les établissements de santé et dans d’autres milieux de soins de santé en collaboration.

La SCPH soutient ses membres par le truchement de ses activités de valorisation et d’éducation, en partageant l’information qu’elle acquiert, en faisant la promotion des meilleures pratiques, en favorisant la recherche et en soulignant l’excellence.

Proposed Changes to the CSHP Bylaw

With the recent announcement of Myrella Roy’s retirement, the CSHP Board agreed that this time of transition would be perfect to update CSHP’s most senior manager’s

title and passed a motion to this end in June 2018. Historically, senior managers of not-for-profit organizations have typically held the title of “executive director”. During

the past thirty years, many not-for-profit organizations have changed the title to “chief executive officer”, following a common business practice.

New Motion: That all relevant articles of the CSHP Bylaw be amended to change the title “Executive Director” to “Chief Executive Officer”.
